I would say we should be hopeful to see one but that would go against me always expecting the worse of things, though it would be great to see it >>

From my limited experience in the games industry, i can tell you that releasing internal documents is really not taken lightly.

He's a manly guy and he does manly things, no skinny bishies in that webcomic.

We'll probably have to settle for a fan made one after the game is released, I'm just saying that it sounded like they thought a chart could be useful.

But you don't have to be a bishie to be lanky...

One thing I find funny is my excitement that this will be a game full of lots of explorable landscape and quests. Whether it's open world or partly, it'll be bigger than before.

But not so with the characters apparently. I won't have the same sense of "possibilities" and replay value with that.

Thats why I'm not too hopeful, every time hope comes up I have to beat it into submission with a barbedwired baseball bat.

He's from this comic http://thepunchlineismachismo.com/ only one skinny man in that whole thing, its not about being Bishie its about being a manly badass xD

Well the comic does have a whole story line where most of the cast gets infected with a bishie like disease and turn from their gruff like selves to more bishie looking ones was a pretty fun story line actually though the main character looked very off putting like that.

While I love Aimo's various shipping comics (and comics in general), they also make me a bit down over the fact that 1) I can't really imagine any original scenarios at this point in time because I feel like we've too little information, and 2) my characters tend to end up as such stick-in-the-muds who don't really suit "fun" scenarios. :(

I really, really, really hope they'll reveal to us which LIs are available to which PC choice before release. It would make this gating system WAY more easy to stomach. I feel pretty certain that there will be at least one LI available to a gay male character that I like, but I don't know if they'll be available regardless what race I pick and I would like to choose my race accordingly. Having a viable LI that appeals to me is like a hundred times more important to me than which race I pick, so this information could effect my enjoyment of the game one way or another in an extreme way. It's just a frustrating prospect to either have to wait a few days for the forums or wiki to determine who is available to who, or to take the chance playing hours into a possible dead end playthrough when it's really easy and totally without cost for them to tell us ahead of time what the availability looks like.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not angry they haven't already told us. There's still plenty of time to do it. I just hope they will do it before release. I realize it's not the END OF THE WORLD if I have to wait a few days after release to start playing, but it would be so easy to just tell us. I mean, this isn't something that costs Bioware anything. It would be so easy for them to do it. They stand to lose nothing, so why wouldn't they?

They might if we pester continue to remind them of it.

It's unlikely though because they'd only spoil all the information after the game comes out. By then, we wouldn't need a chart.

I'd rather they release the Keep before anything else. Assuming I can waste a lot of time with it.

The author of the webcomic actually made a strip just for you!

Spoiler

It's not that she's super against Bishies or anything, it's just that the men she considered attractive (ie big muscled guys) didn't really get a lot of appreciation among fangirls, so she sorta made a webcomic just for them.

People championing Blackwall and IB in the early days of DAI news tended to be of a similar mindset (ie. wanting male LI's who deviated from the typical body type for Dragon Age's male LI's).

DA hasn't really had an androgynous male like most of the ones in that comic either, imo. Especially not as much as the first couple. Fenris is maybe equal to the last one.

Short form for "bishonen" - translation: pretty boys.

Yeah. Fenris is the closest they get to bishie and he's not quite there.

Yeah Aimo's art tends to be bittersweet. I mean there's all these wonderful and adorable scenes, but they make you kind of sad knowing they probably won't be in the game proper. I think cute "reading together with your LI" or "Looking for a lost sock with your LI" type scenes would be nice to have in a Bioware game, they'd certainly make the romances feel even more lifelike and dynamic. But I understand that scenes like those are probably too much manpower for too little profit.

Yeah. Fenris is the closest they get to bishie and he's not quite there.

Someone in another thread (or maybe this one, or maybe they were on reddit) pointed out that DA:II's art style tended to give everyone smoother features, so DA:I Fenris (if he makes an appearance) might be even less bishie than DA:II Fenris.

Yeah, I wouldn't call anyone in DA "bishi" but male LI's so far the past have leaned more towards slimmer builds and smoother features compared to characters like IB and Blackwall.
