okay, so they said the romances will be "complex" I think is the word they used....do you think this will be because of the race or class we choose (ie romancing Cullen with a mage) or, just due to the state of the world at the moment?

Wow. Looking back at my earlier guess, when only Sera/Dorian were confirmed (got them right too) I have been pretty spot on so far. This never happens! I'm usually very very wrong. o-o Very. 

 

My list still of guesstimations:

 

Cullen - Straight

Iron Bull - Bi

Solas - Bi

Dorian - Gay *confirmed*

Varric - Straight

Blackwall - Bi...?/gay/straight/IDK

 

Cassandra - Straight

Sera - Gay *confirmed*

Viv - Bi

Scribbles - Bi

 

These are only my guesses if they are actually romanceable, not who will be options. I highly doubt Varric and Blackwall are, and I also doubt that that many people will be romanceable. I don't think Cole will be at all so I didn't include him.

I think they meant that they'll be complex in terms of they'll develop and all be different, more complexly written.

Varric was the one I was more sure would be straight as opposed to bisexual, so I feel marginally better about the rest. But it does still concern me. Solas's interview about him being open-minded gives me hope for him, and Vivienne being bisexual wouldn't be a big deal in Orlesian politics. Blackwall... I don't know. DUTY. HONOR. DARKSPAWN.

 

Blackwall seems like the type who would put duty above all, which is why he even joins the Inquisition

Well, Solas being open-minded doesn't strike me as a reason for him to be bisexual.  There are open-minded straight and gay people, too. Being open-minded about religion and other people's beliefs, for example, doesn't mean you will be attracted to anybody and everybody.

 

Blackwall would be awesome, because if he was bisexual, he'd be the first "DUTY. HONOR." do-gooder, knight in shining armor, lawful good, guy who isn't straight.

I just wish they would tell us if both the remaining LIs are bisexual. It would really put me at ease a lot, if it's true. Not getting the LI I want for the last slot would be disappointing, but being in the only demographic to get one less LI and knowing they were willing to gate one of our only two options on top of that if a dev didn't give up sleep on his own time to change it would be.. really hurtful.

Ha, yeah. I meant, how one could translate that into a possible sexuality. Not enough information!

Very true in regards to Solas. Really, none of the remaining options (sans Varric) have any information about what their sexualities could be. I'm hopeful that the last two are bisexual, because of how hard the Bioware Devs have been pushing equality this time around, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Nope. I think people have just been assuming that humans would win out in most race-gating scenarios while elves and dwarves would suffer.

Yeah, this is why I really don't like the whole race-gating thing. I prefer playing humans mostly, but still, giving elf and dwarf players the shaft would not be cool. The fact that they only make a small fraction of the player base is no reason to penalize them like that.
