Lol, it's the principle of the thing. He threatened me over my choice to show mercy, which is something I do not tolerate, from anyone.
In his defense, he did just witness his surrogate mother getting blown up.

YES. I WANTED TO KILL HIM TOO. He threatened to raze Kirkwall to the ground because I chose to show mercy to Anders.
So...that justifies threatening to burn a city to the ground? Yeah, not buying that.In his defense, he did just witness his surrogate mother getting blown up.
I agree that it should have been an option, though I get from a writing standpoint why they didn't. He's already a DLC character--can you imagine the extra time they would've had to put into his inevitable showing in DAI had we also been able to kill him? Gah. I'll fall on that sword just so we can have an interesting meet-up with him in DAI. Granted he's actually in DAI.
But Shale is a DLC character and she can die?
Honestly, I would be pretty happy never to see Sebastian again. One of my least favorite characters ever. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not in DA:I, though, since we're not going to the Free Marches.
To each their own I found Bethany and Sebastian more wrong for each other than Carver and Merrill but then again I"m hugely bias because I project all of my big sister protectiveness on Carver since I've got a little brother in real life ^^;;
Oh, I hate Bethany/Sebastian too.
I wanted to kill answer when he transformed into a raving, violent abomination before my eyes. Instead, I had him lead us into the Deep Roads. Later, he confessed he was losing control of himself almost murdered an innocent girl.
Despite being a clear threat to himself and others, I couldn't shank him.
Amusingly, this is in a game where an NPC has lost control of themselves, which leads them to acts of violence, and not only can you kill them but every member of your group (including Anders) approves you doing so.
Actually, no: Anders is the one companion who does not have approval changes based on Magister's Orders.

But hey, easy rivalry points when you need'em.

Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit.
I will say this: Anders was able to partially heal and get through to Bartrand. If he was unable to do the same for Kelder, then Kelder really is beyond any manner of saving in the current setting, and his father will just let him go again.

Well... true. I actually did think of that when I wrote that post. Mostly, I meant it would be more time the writers would have to spend on Sebastian to make him work--whatever character they'd choose to replace him--instead on just making Sebastian's appearance as good as they can.
And I think DG might have talked about the DLC characters showing in his interview with LadyInsanity. I can't quite remember, though.
Well this thread's tension died quickly.
Another day another day
It wasn't so much about Kirkwall as it was about him questioning my desire to show mercy.
You say that like it's a bad thing ![]()

Want me to make some more tension?

Nah I'll wait until it happens naturally, thank you for the offer though :3
For some reason I find this related to the current discussion at hand.
*Awesome Thing Huldra Shared*
EDIT: Just noticed that Seb's belt buckle is smirking/eyeing up Bethany
This is the best thing on the BSN in a long time.
No, you're far too moderate. You don't have that edge of "not entirely sure if this person isn't genuinely crazy" that I do.
Nobody does it better. Makes me feel sad for the rest. Nobody does it half as good as you...You're the best. (I'll save us both the indignity of calling you 'Baby'. And if anyone is old enough to get a Carly Simon earworm from that, you're welcome.)
I don't think Merrill is interested in Carver romantically, and I'm certain she's well aware of his interest. He pretty much calls her out in MoTA for pulling the naive card when he exclaims, "Hey, you're doing that on purpose," followed by her giggling because he caught on (assuming your character hasn't romanced Carver, or else he mentions you instead).
I am dying to know how your character romanced Carver. If you can turn that around to Bethany, I'm sure there's a faction on the old DAII boards that would have made you their personal lord and savior. ![]()

The irony made me laugh.
Romantic or sexual tension only please.
Well, I'd be happy to take you up on that offer to butter your butt.
Eh I didn't take Seb seriously. He didn't even have the brass to attempt to kill Anders on his own and...yeah. He was having a bad day.
That said I'd loved the option to go "Go ahead. Take your revenge than Seb." and let him kill Anders preferably via arrow to the head like Petrice. Even if it was only a rivalry option.

That would've been my option, but alas, I had to do the dirty deed myself.
Telling Seb to kill Anders himself if he wanted him dead so badly would have the option I wanted most and for that cruel playthrough where I messed up Anders's romance and had to be abusive cause I was young and dumb I wanted the option to stab Sebastian for threatening not just me not just Anders but a whole city that didn't have anything to do with what my Hawke's insane boyfriend did.
I always tell him to back off which always results in him leaving with his tail between his legs
You're forgetting that Sebastian killing Anders himself would involve him committing to something fully. I.e. he can't.
Even if though that is very true still wanted the option to tell him to put on his big boy panties and do something about it himself. Though apparently no one in Kirkwall can seem to do jack on their own. Aside from Anders he gets that bomb in on his own if he needs to.
