I would love it if when you arrive to Vivienne's party people broke out into a parody rendition of "There's a Part Here in Agrabah" called "There's a Party here in Val Royeaux (or wherever the party is)". In fact I might just play that song during that scene ni matter what


On a related note I would like to add that " Aladdin and the King of Thieves" is grossly under appreciated and that makes me sad

They're both pretty diplomatic to me. I imagine Josephine is going to be smooth with words and the picture I picked out maybe a villain/anti hero but they're pretty smooth with words too so thats why I chose him. If that makes any sense.

That whole scene really struck a cord with me. But yeah the song. And Scar being a douchecanoe afterwards...

 

Him being eaten alive by the hyenas was...brutal but fitting.

Well I did take that into account but I couldn't think of anyone else with silver tongues like that, that would fit her sadly and Xanatos felt right even if he is male and can fight very well.

Now, I actually like Cullen...but I have to admit that when contemplating what Disney songs would fit which character...I thought of Cullen singing Hellfire while pining over my mage warden.

Yet every single Bioware protoganist to date has the option of being gay and there were no problems in sales.The only people who refuse to buy a game with a LBGT character are the type Bioware should'nt want as their customers anyway.

 

If a character being gay is enough for some people to put off buying a game then that's their problem.

 

I think he's going on about protagonist-player-character being locked as homosexual, and that any nuances from the perspective of the main character would be coloured by their orientation. And that'll allegedly scare away gamers and lead a company who made the game to ruin (and I'm just exaggerating, here).

 

So, I kind of get where he's coming from, but at the same time, no one would really know the outcome if no one really tries. And who knows? It may just be a selling point. The gaming community isn't so skewed in favour of straight, white, men as it used to be, and there are female gamers, gamers who identify as a certain race or creed, and of course, queer gamers, who take up a sizeable chunk of the demographic. But that's beside the point. The fact that having a gay protagonist would create controversy could (and this a very tentative could) be a selling point, and the more people hear about it, the more people would notice, and the more people who would notice, the more people would probably buy it.

 

But there is some truth in that big name companies are very afraid of risk, and part of it is because they buy into this mindset that anything new or innovative is a risk. They're still capitalists in the long run.
