Well I did take that into account but I couldn't think of anyone else with silver tongues like that, that would fit her sadly and Xanatos felt right even if he is male and can fight very well.

Here's one:

Mmm I'd have to disagree Jane never came off as diplomatic to me, well educated? Yes. Doesn't know how to fight? Yes. Diplomatic and has a sliver tongue? Not so much. But that's just my opinion on her.

That's somehow more ear searing than the Meredith and Orsino one.

My pleasure.

And in the interests of fairness... my own Inquisitor! Maybe:

Spoiler

I can't see the picture.

Esmeralda from Hunch Back. I was going to go with Peter Pan but he seemed too self centered to really fit Sera for me.

That's odd; it's showing up fine for me. Let me fiddle with that...

I don't see it, Esmeralda being accepting of Quasi when Sera is the opposite with Cole :v

Oh, we're doing Disneyquisition?  :D I got some stuff from the Solas thread. There's more where this came from, in fact. We, uh, may have given in to the madness for awhile there.

That's amazing. That "Gaston" rendition. And that "Whole New World..." it made my imagination rush. Just let me geek out for a second, because it made me realize what kind of scenario a Solas romance could entail. He'd be like "I can show you the fade..." to a Circle Mage Quizzy. And he'd teach him/her things they never knew. And it would be like a whole new world. Because in the Circle they're all, real world good, Fade world bad. Okay. I'm done.

My decision may or may not have been based on having Let it Go stuck in my head at the time and my brain demanding that I get a Frozen character for someone >>

Committing acts of terrorism because telling them you want to end it is too mainstream

But there is some truth in that big name companies are very afraid of risk, and part of it is because they buy into this mindset that anything new or innovative is a risk. They're still capitalists in the long run.

Given how much money goes into the budgets of mainstream titles these days, being risk averse is not a bad thing from an investor's POV. And ultimately, like it or not, profits are the point. Companies do not exist to foster social change, they exist to make money.

This is also why, as much as you hear some segments moan and complain about it, we have yearly installments of best selling franchises. They virtually guaranteed to make a profit.

However, I think the indie movement has the potential for a huge impact. They can make the games the big names won't, and act as a proof of concept. The things indie devs do that work well will get noticed by the big names and incorporated if/where applicable. If we're really going to see games that challenge the social status quo, I think we're going to see them there, first.
