Honestly, I wonder how many people will replay this game enough to experience all the romances? I know I will, be it straight, gay, Bullsexual. Hells knows a lot of people managed to play the romances in DA:0 twice with having so many playthroughs. Though... in DAII I couldn't bring myself to romance Anders, so I never got to see that.
In truth I suspect most players will manage only one playthrough.
I did all 6 origins in Origins and 2 more for good measure.
For missed opportunities there's always youtube...

I really enjoy the romance feature of these games. It's one of my favorite parts of Bioware games. That being said, there has not been a single game where I completed all of the romances. The reality is that, of out of the 8 romances in DA: I, I will definitely do the Dorian and IB romances. If Blackwall, Varric, or Vivienne are s/s options, I'll do them as well. If Vivienne isn't a f/f romance, I might do a Josephine romance (depending on what her personality is like). So, at most, I'll do 5 out of 8. Realistically, I'll probably do either 3 or 4.

Is it? I finished BG 2 twice, KOTOR about a dozen times, JE twice, ME about 6 times, DA: O about ten times, ME 2 about 4 times, DA 2 about 4 times, ME 3 three times. So, if I completed DA: I three to five times, it would be about normal for me.

Granted, I've played DAO about 4x all the way through and DA2 about 7x. Only managed to run through ME games about once each, and KOTOR 1 once, KOTOR 2 4x.

Agreed, but not a Bioware game. Still awesome stuff, especially with the cut content restored. I haven't played that part, but have watched the youtube videos it.

Oh yeah, the romances in general were rather bad. And that's completely besides the fact that I had no options.

@Elu I was really late to the party on that one. I didn't even own a decent PC until 2004. 
I picked it up for a song for the first time last year from Steam, but I just couldn't get into it. I honestly tried, I really did. I know the story is excellent, and since I played ToR before trying it, I wanted to learn about the story of Revan.
However, the graphics come from a time period where they were kinda between generations. Even tweaking the settings, it really hasn't aged well and it prevented me personally from getting into the game. I'm not a graphics snob by any stretch; I still playing my SNES/GBA/PSX games and I love them. It just didn't work with KOTOR. Nothing against those that love the game though. I think it was a bit of a case of "You had to be there," for me. One of these days I will try again.

Knowing that you wanted to love ToR, I would definitely recommend giving KOTOR another chance. I know the graphics are a bit rough, but the story makes it legitimately my favorite game EVER. So damned good.

I think that's where the "rip the bandaid" mentality is coming from. We know that folks are going to be upset, so we'd rather get it out of their systems. I've just promised myself that I'm not going to stress it anymore.
