Yup. Zev was my only option in DAO and in DA2, Anders's romance just got to be too much for me, so I nope'd the hell out of there.

I can't blame you on that one.  I hope there is a gay human LI for a change.  Or that Iron Bull is bi, so we can have some variety.  Elves are pretty and all, but it does get "same-y" after awhile.

 

It seems like your sole purpose for posting in this thread is to dampen other people's spirits. Why is this?

I'd give ya that if I could, and I'd take Varric.  

 

Sadly, judging from the cast makeup, I don't think that's going to happen.  Also, considering it was heavily implied that Varric is still creeply fixated on his crossbow  I mean not over a woman he hasn't seen in 12 years possibly "too attached to Bianca to let go," I doubt I'll get what I want either.

Blackwall mostly for shallow reasons I love his design so much   and Iron Bull cause he sounds like a guy you can really have fun with and that is way more important to me in a relationship being able to just hang out and be friends as well as lovers with your significant other

Sera for my first pt (Dalish elf mage)...seems like a fun pair with differing personalities/viewpoints.

 

I'll probably romance her with my human rogue too.

I would be really happy with Solas as a gay romance and Dorian as bi. That suits me fine. It's just not what really seems more likely to me. Of course, that and basically any other configuration is still on the table. 

 

I also don't really think they're banking on straight guys thinking a gay elf dude would balance out their lack of straight elf chick. I realize I'm being presumptuous here, but I honestly believe a straight female is more likely to be satisfied with romancing Solas as a dude instead of a chick than a straight guy is going to be romancing Solas as a surrogate for Sera. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I don't think "all elves available to males" really has the same impact if they're different genders.

I had to toss you a like for this, because that keeps happening to me too. 

 

Sera looks fun, but I'm cautious about how much of a "brat" she's going to be.  I do know I look forward to her in my party, even if my big-sister vibe towards her doesn't diminish.  Other than Varric, I'm getting more and more curious about Dorian.  He has a really nice design, and I've been wanting to meet a good hearted Tevinter magister for years now.

 

If he's a gay LI, and if I like him, I might have to try my first m/m relationship in BioWare games for my second playthrough.

I'm really, really interested in Dorian as a gay companion. If Iron Bull turns out to be a bisexual LI though, I'm actually unsure of who I would pick. Both seem equally fascinating.

I was originally going to go for the unnamed rogue as Samahl (my male elf), but if he is Cole (he is), then he won't be a LI, so I'm at a bit of a loss now. I don't find any of the other male LIs attractive, except for Cullen (kinda), but I hate him, so...

As for my choices, my first choice has been Dorian for some time now. I really hope he's open to m/m relationships. Other than that, Solas and Cullen are both about equally interesting, to me. I'll probably do a playthrough for either, if they're available. If all three were options, it would maybe end up being the first time I've ever done more than two full playthroughs.

I'd be willing to bet that the unnamed rogue is Cole.  Looks like his art from the back of Asunder, he's just taller than I pictured him.  

 

Solas is probably going to be it for the elven men.

 

If it helps, I didn't think Alistair was the slightest bit attractive to me either at first.  Not that there is anything wrong with him, but usually the blonde hair/blue eyed/virginal types (regardless of gender) don't do a thing for me.  However, after firing up the game, he eventually became my favorite romance.  

 

I know it's not much consolation, but perhaps the writers will surprise you.  I understand having the companions looks not being to your taste, though.  That's never fun.
