I'm a pretty staunch metalhead. I think dubstep has potential to add to music, but I don't enjoy it standalone. Claptrap is awesome though, so points for that.
Metal has it's place too. I like some metal. Wintersun, Swallow the Sun, August Burns Red, Nightwish, Misery Signals, Dragonforce, Lake of Tears… there's some awesome metal music out there. I'm more into the electronic music, personally, but I can see where the metal love comes from. A lot of my friends are real metalheads, too
Also, yeah, Claptrap is pretty awesome.
Anyways, romance. I know personally with David Gaider's post that "Romance options are not candy to be given out evenly and fairly" it got me right here
I felt a pang of familiarity with real life. Romance seems fairly scarce for reals, and the last girl I had dated at the time had just dumped me after 4 dates. I guess, feeling a bit of an escapist notion, I think I just hoped to find an even distribution of romances for everyone in the virtual world of video games, at least. I'm over it, but that post made me a real sad panda at the time
mostly just with the way it was worded not the actual implications of race gating so much, although, I'm not overly thrilled about that either.
Moving on, anyone else thinking maybe Varric could be an option for both dwarves and elves? I think someone brought that up before and I thought the idea struck me as something that could work. I still feel like Varric, though, if he's a romance option would be straight, could be wrong, though. On a different note, I think it'd be funny/awesome if Cullen could be romanced by a qunari Inquisitor, but I feel like given his previous comments, that might be a race gating opportunity, there.
