Of course we see bad in Dalish. I was just saying I like the underlying philosophy.
"Never again shall we submit."
If they were a mage fraternity, they'd either be isolationist or libertarian (I'm leaning on isolationist.. they're not as militant as libertarians on a whole). Either way, I prefer both types of approaches to life. "Controlling" others and stuff (like the Qun and Chantry attempts) might as well be alien to me. It's nothing I can relate to. I have no desire to control people. Or order entire societies to conform to a specific system. This is something that religions and totalitarianism (especially in our own history with the USSR and China) tries to do. I just do not understand it.
edit: whoa.. that's a bit longer than it should be. I'll just leave it at that.
I definitely agree. There are too many groups in Thedas I think are interesting and want more information on. I love the Qunari philosophy even though I couldn't disagree with it more. Regardless of whether everyone has a place or not, I don't think it's worth it to give up yourself so wholly to anything. I would love to know more about the Dalish pantheon...and to know more about the ancient elves. Since it was touched upon in TME, I'm hoping we can get even more info in Inquisition. The Chantry is probably the least interesting group to me, but I'd love to know more about Maferath, Andraste, and particularly Shartan.
*Ahem* More on topic, I wonder if either of the elves will be race-gated because of the whole elves trying to keep breeding because they are disappearing. That doesn't really apply to Sera, but if Solas is a romance, I wonder if he would only be interested in an Elven inquisitor.
