Yes finally the first pictures of the FemShep arrived but of course we also want to see FemShep move and hear her. Gamestar.de made a video with english and german voice. No big spoiler, just a little talk with Jacob at the beginning:

I think, after this vid I will definitly play in english, jacob and jennifer are awesome. I like the german FemShep but Jacob and the Android were... creepy.

It's somewhat creepy to hear the voice of "my" shepard (german female) while seeing that all girlish face.

Think I'll play male shep with the english voice and female shep with the german. The German male voice sucks.

English. Full-stop. Sorry, EA. I appreciate the localization effort, but the characters simply sound more lively/vivid in English.

Did anyone notice how the German one was more "explicit"? I don't speak German, but I know Jacob swore in German, whereas he didn't in English.

You're right. Since swearing isn't such an issue in germany, he's allowed to do so. Translates to "sh*t".

Sheiße translates fine to Damn it I think.

Also the strength of the swear words depends on country - it is for some reason common in Denmark these days to say the f word. It's very commonly heard in child TV. Yes. Child TV. Usually said by children, or their parents as well. It simply doesn't have much strength, compared to the word in America for example.

Sounds nice :) Going for a first play-through with a femshep.

Yay! Slightly better hair for her this time both model and texture. Still looks a little like a big clump of clay but improved over the original which makes me happy.

"Verdammt!" would be the literal translation. I wouldn't say either one is better though.

Ah, then I believe I may have got my words mixed up.

I thought Sheiße was the same as a very similar English swear word which can be interchanged with "Damn it".

Apologies for the mix up!

I watched someone playing a femshep yesterday on justin.tv and this blond one looked better. Even though I am quite interested in how the maleshep's romances will play out, I expect to do my first play through with femshep since I want to carry over my vanguard from ME1. From this vid, it looks like femshep is going to look good in game and of course, will sound good with Jennifer Hale returning as the voice actor. I am counting the minutes till Tues.

Yes of course you are right, but I thought more that in the context Sheiße and Damn it works well. If I got shot at by cyborgs I'd say "Pis", which translates to ******, which doesn't make sense in an English context ;)

"Scheiße" and "Verdammt" are equally common around here, and as i said, I wouldn't judge one or the other as being better suited. I personally would prefer "Verdammt" but it's not that important. ^^
