Very flimsy, and hinged on Shepard's magic tongue.

It's too bad ME didn't have some kind of cunning score that could perhaps channel the abilities of Batman. Tired of a conversation? Select the blank option on the wheel, and the NPC is talking, but then looks and Shepard's vanished.

That would make him the Shepard the galaxy deserves, but not the one it needs.

I cringe at the Kai-leng fighting banter at Cerberus HQ.
"your legs getting tired?"
"Shut up!"
"you ran on the citadel, you ran on Thessia"
ugh. I don't know line for line

"Yes, and for once we're inclined to believe them. Targeting innocent civilians isn't their usual M.O." ...
I really do hate that line. It basically turns Hackett into a buffoon and Shepard into one for not calling him out on it. I wish Shepard could say "Wait, you were talking to Cerberus PR, and you believed them? Jesus X Cristos, we are royally f*cked."

I dunno. How many other attacks on civilians had Cerberus done? Exotic weapons tests excepted, of course.

Could make an argument for the events on Mars. Some of those people weren't soldiers.

There's that time in ME1 where they Huskified an entire colony for some reason or another. I guess that was a weapons test, but it's pretty much the same as executing them. Then again it might have just been a bit of "Cerberus operation goes wrong" again. They might well have been trying to set up a homeless shelter and somehow turned everyone into robo-ghouls instead...

It's called exposition. We as players are meant to be asking these questions to learn about this galaxy. It's not perfect but it serves a meaningful purpose. Also, pretty much everything Shepard says in the first couple hours of ME1. Special mention goes to the conversations on the Geth War, the Krogan Rebellions, and asari biology. Not only does s/he come across as a douchebag, s/he also appears to be a complete moron.
Also to those talking about the reapers focusing on earth, ME2 built up this plotline. You'know reapers seeing humans as the best candidate to be a capital ship. Of the many botches and inconsistencies in ME3, this was actually foreshadowed quite well.

From a story point-of-view that makes sense. Shep isn't officially part of the Alliance anymore at this point. She's doing this only the down-low, as a favor to Hackett, as the Alliance can't be officially involved.Arrival DLC. Hackett explains Kenson's intel on the reapers.
Shepard; 'Why call me?'

Very flimsy, and hinged on Shepard's magic tongue.
I always let her remain a crime boss for that reason. Blake being the lesser of three evils and eventually folding her organization into Aria's, is much more believable.

ME2: (Shadowbroker DLC) They arrive at the trade center. Bomb explodes & knocks everyone to the ground. Miranda “this could be a problem”
(how intuitive!)
ME3: (retake of Omega DLC):
Aria: “Strange, what are those things in the distance?
Shep: “Some kind of force field by the looks of it”
Aria: “Oh, that’s not good”
(no sh*t?)
ME3: After seeing the reaper destruction & chaos at the start of the game – then working your way thru the game -- after terminating the reaper destroyer on Rannoch:
Dying reaper: “You represent chaos, we represent order”
ME3: (Leviathan DLC):
Leviathan tells Shep that they created the Catalyst (that created the reapers)
Leviathan: “They are the enemy. One that seeks our extermination”
(blah, blah, blah)
Shepard: “And now we all pay the price for your mistake”
Leviathan: “There was no mistake, it still serves its purpose”
(so…it "still serves its purpose” – that will continue to exterminate them. Huhh? Lots of you have said the Leviathn was “not too bright” – for a billion year old creature. Yep!)
Anything the Vorcha say: “Ahhhh human – now you dhhhhiiiieeeee!”

Too funny there Doc,
I crack up every time the Elcore say anything. I remember (ME2) the Citadel kiosk advertising the "reading of Hamlet" by an ALL-ELCOR staff. i can just imagine how absurd that would be (more funny than absurd).

"Can I choose someone else?" One of Shepards renegade lines on Palaven when being told that Victus is the new primarch.
"And then they ceased to be useful" Dalatrass on the Normandy. Let's just not mention all the Krogan Rebellion thing.
"When will you ever going to trust me?" Shepard's renegade response to Legion/GethVI in the beginning of Priority: Rannoch. It's even more absurd when Shepard said he'll destroy the geth before that.
Not a statement, but also absurd. Renegade Shepard killing Falere after (s)he him/herself was rescuing her from the bomb explosion.
Man, they really put an efford into letting renegade Shepard look like a complete moron.

When speaking with Xen in ME2.....
Dialog tree - "So you agree with Rael'Zorah?"
Shepard's Dialogue - "So you think it's okay to experiment on living things?"
Me: Wait a minute. When did my Shepard start thinking that Geth were living things? That's not what I wanted to say!
Conclusion - quality writing? This one is right up there with Asari reproduction. Shepard is a moron.
