What I meant was how could you ask someone if they are a clone of themselves and demand an explanation as to why they appear to be a clone of themselves because they appear to be a clone themselves while at the same time using language that would indicate they aren't in fact a clone. Of themselves.

After all how can a clone of you be you and not be you at the same time?

...

This entire dialogue is just a mess, and the Illusive Man makes himself look stupid.

If we assume that the Illusive Man oscillates between being indoctrinated and bright, cognisant moments, then this dialogue is really well done, together with the animations aka body-language.

For me he looked like someone who suffers under a cognitive dissonance (cd).

Realizing on one side what he has done and how far this is away from his former goals but on the other side being unable to concede this to himself and much less to others, because this would mean, that he IS indoctrinated and that the others - in this case Shepard - are right.

With a 100% paragon Shep the outcome shows, how bad these cd's can hit someone,

You could also add the scene on Grissom. Why couldn't she break the window like Jack or Prangley instead of using the butt of her weapon

Because Shepard is an idiot.

ME2: Leaving the ship [entirely] to Joker:

I can't see ANYTHING that is so important to do this.   This is like leaving a nuke submarine to the pilot.

What is soooooo important that every squad mate, 1st officer & skipper is called off at the SAME TIME?   Seems absurd to me.   Where’d they go?   What’d they do?

Seems like the game writers should have said ‘something’ about it – other than “for your next mission, take the shuttle”.   For what?   About what?

If they wanted Joker alone, they could have easily left a few squadmates to have a shootout & rendezvoused in engineering before EDI opened the airlocks.

Thoughts?

Joker: Once he tagged me in the middle of the night to ask how many livers humans had.

Miranda: That's nothing. You should see where he tagged me.

Joker: Okay.

Miranda: Okay what? ... Oh. You jerk. Just ask him.

I'll contend that's not so absurd. Everyone knows Shepard is Space Jesus and is the best person in the galaxy for hosing things down with bullets. Sending him down to the place with the most resistance is a pretty good idea in light of this.

Space Jesus or not, sending him up the middle makes sense because 1) Shepard's presence is a great boost for the troops' morale 2) Shepard dealt with much worse situations 3) Shepard is not the only one who can activate the Crucible, in fact, anyone can

Ashley: Workers, all the real guards must be dead.

Worker: Don't move or we'll shoot.

Shepard: Now would be a good time to find a new job.

Worker: Yeah you're right, I never like fist anyway.

Seriously? They went from "Let's blow his head off" to "I should go" in 3 seconds flat. Obi Wan is jealous Shep.

No its not. Especially when that idiot tells Shepard to support the tanks. The tanks are for suppotring the ground troops. All the clown had to say is that he send Shepard where the resistance is the heaviest, but will have support from the tanks to make it easier.

As far as boosting morale, the troops already say him/her on the turret at the fob firing at the uglies.

Those tanks have been modded to launch guided thanix missiles they aren't for delivering precise heavy fire as infantry support and if the missiles are destroyed you can't shoot the reaper it makes sense to guard them. That being said it was a dumb line.

When the second set of missiles were fired, the reaper was out of range of the beam for any interfence to hurt the misslies, so having a laser targeting system like when facing the reaper on Rannoch would've worked. Also all the tanks were not modded

Not all of them but when they said protect the tanks it's clearly meant for the tanks that need protecting.

Until that happened, Shepard was still fighting the uglies.

There was no reason to have them that close. Once the reaper is out of range of the beam, those missiles could be fired from any distance

They can be fired from any distance but to manage to get past its armor to hit it right in the eye they need to be close. Not because of precision but because of timing. Destroyer would've managed to close the armor before the missiles reach it if the shot is taken from a long distance.

On Rannoch it took coordinated fire from the whole quarian fleet to defeat the destroyer that way. They are kinda busy during the beam events :)
