But not as meme worthy.
Another check in the "I approve" column for 'em.
But not as meme worthy.
Doesn't the turian groundskeeper in the dark star lounge have the same (or a similar) accent?
You humans are all racist.
The Japanese cop lady on Noveria. She's threatening me to surrender my gun? Hell no! You got a death wish! I was ready to kill this crazy Asian who kept saying "Parasini-san."
What? Why?
I think, for the short screen time she got, captain Matsuo was incredibly cool.
...Well,maybe not that incredible, but still cool -- and definitely way better than that Sterling biatch
Wasn't Sterling the source of another absurd statment?
Something alonge the lines of accusing Shep and Crew of illegally breaking into Lorik Quin's office, after she illegally boke into his office...
"See this devastation Primarch? Double it for Earth"
I didn't find this dumb. I just interpret it as Shepard putting things into perspective as to why... "I need an alliance. I need the Turian fleet!"
It's like telling someone, you see this broken leg? Imagine being paralyzed!
But there's always Jacob's conversation on the citadel. I can't just post a single sentence from that awkward exchange. The whole thing is bad.
Shepard: "Fancy speeches won't stop Saren from finding the Conduit. If we really want to make the Captain proud, we need to get this bird in the air."
There we go.... I blame George Lucas for this. Uh, dumb ass, you're in space.

I didn't like her because she was too stereotypical. It felt like she was written by someone who had just watched the TV miniseries Shogun. The only thing that could have possibly made her more stereotypical was if she committed seppuku because Sterling caused her great dishonor.
Modern Japanese people don't really talk that way, particularly if they are speaking in English.
Thanix Missiles!
The presentation sucked but the concept is sound.
Google 'bomb-pumped lasers'
Stick one as a warhead on a missile.
=
Thanix missles are simply missles with a one shot Thanix capacitor in the nose.

But they didn't look any more powerful than a high explosive to me.
Now if they really were special like a Davey Crockett....

Well yes, as I said the presentation sucked. At no point in the series are the ship-borne or heavy weapons seen performing to specifications.
The Reaper on Rannoch is a glaring example of this.

I thought it was kind of more like, "see this broken leg? Imagine having a broken leg!" in a room where everyone has a broken leg.

After the first volley there should have been a smoldering crater and a dead reaper + dead Shepard and company.
I didn't find his use of Spanish words to be gratuitous at all, but then a few people in my family do the same thing. He doesn't even use Spanish words that often. He says pendejo a couple of times, gracias once, and dios once.Yeah, while I liked Matsuo I disliked the gratuitous japanese.
Vega was MUCH worst regarding gratuitous Spanish.

I always just figured that Gerrel learned his lesson and the fleet wasn't firing at full power so Shep wouldn't be obliterated by a mushroom cloud worthy kinetic bombardment from the main guns.
As for the Thanix Missiles, they wouldn't be so lame if the hand portable Cain didn't make a bigger explosion.
Just what in the hell is wrong with being appreciative of your culture? It boggles my mind, this patronizing line of thought. People say Vega and Jacob are "stereotypical" I call it being real.I didn't like her because she was too stereotypical. Vega ended up being deeper, but there's no doubt he was meant to be portrayed more as a caricature stereotype of modern, everyday Soldiers, specifically enlisted-men (though why they made him an Officer doesn't make much sense). It's even stated that he was designed with the blue-collar, everyday man in mind.
Jacob too was deeper as a character than many give him credit for as well, but he struck me more as another type of caricature of the more idealistic type of people who join as well as having a more firm, absolutist sense of right and wrong. The kicker though was when they made him suit the stereotype for a young black man who gets an easy lay then runs at the first sign of trouble, even impregnating another woman.
I honestly don't believe BW was trying to do this approach. Rather, I think in their ignorance and hurry to throw a wrench in the engine with at least one LI, they picked him and put it in there, not realizing the unfortunate implications of their actions until the fans really let them know about it.
Yeah, BW did it to TWO love interests -- one cheated and one died -- both for femShep. But hey, only 18% play femShep so who cares, right? Let's even have an appearance contest for femShep! Let's pick her hair color! Now let's deny her two love interests!!! While manShep can boff everyone except Samantha.

I wish I was around for that nonsense.
STEEEEVE!
I'm all right.
You sure?
Is M!Shep the only one that said "STEEEEVE!"? F!Shep seems to just yell out "Cortez!", which sounds so much better, but the former is pretty funny. I won't bother posting the video again, but the compilation of companion responses is hysterical.

My problem with Jacob, or rather his design I guess, is that a lot of his depth is tied up in romancing him.

Well, there's always Ashley and Kaidan's responses to Steve's death, anyways.
A couple other howlers:
SHEPARD: "Not just any Reaper, a human Reaper."
WASEA: "At least I can take pleasure in turning your head into a pulpy mass!" The way Wasea says "pulpy mass" sounds straight out of the John Travolta handbook on how to deliver lines in the most ridiculous way possible.

And then she went full superfly TNT, the Guns of the Navarone.
