Shepard: "I never heard of the Corsairs."
Salarian game salesman: "Ever play Alliance Corsairs?"
Nice catch.

I typically avoided that line now, since Shepard was supposed to be an elite space commando that would likely know about this sort of thing, but that passing dialogue cinches it.
Let's not bring up politics here now...
Anywho, it basically is.
Just about its only redeeming quality tbh.
*cough* I thought it was the best superhero movie in years.

I liked it as well. I didn't have any expectations going in and I enjoyed it.

Snyder is 3/3 on his comic adaptations imo.
300 - Better than the comic
Watchmen - Better than the comic
Man of Steel - Shows why DC adaptations are miles beyond Marvel dreck
Man of Steel just wouldn't stop beating you over the head with all the Jesus imagery and the "OMG U R SUPA AWESOME SUPES!!!" everyone kept on spouting off.
The characters were boring, the dialogue crappy, and the action meaningless. What fun is there when both combatants are invincible? There's no tension at all.

300 compared to the comic was more of a masculine romp, testosterone fueled rage compared to the artsy and psuedo-gothic ideal.
Watchmen is honestly overrated as a comic and a film.
And Man of Steel was yet another Superman film in a long line of drab canon-sue films about Superman.
Marvel films are incredibly more potent than the DC crap. As is Marvel in general. Granted, Arrow is a better show by far than Agents of SHIELD, but Marvel makes the better movies.
Honestly, Snyder's oeuvre is consistently awful IMO. Man of Steel was, from a script point of view, an inept film. 90% of the dialogue is either exposition about some MacGuffin-y plot device (i.e. the Codex, the Phantom Drive, the World Engine, etc.) or speechifying about Superman's destiny. The film never goes about the business of demonstrating to me dramatically me that Superman is this great figure; they just tell me that he is and hope I go along with it. I couldn't tell you if Cavill gave a good performance as Superman; he wasn't given anything to do except react to expositional dialogue and fight stuff. 300 and Watchmen are other stories altogether (300 might be my least favorite movie ever), but I'm not going to get into that here, as this post is already off topic enough as it is.
Anyways, the most absurd statements in ME are all the expositional lines of dialogue about how much of a badass Kai Leng is; there's almost a parallel with Man of Steel in terms of the disparity between what we're told and what we actually see.
EDIT: Fixed grammar
It's funny how Anderson is telling someone who is essentially a one-man/woman murder factory that Leng is a "vicious bastard", and that he somehow has the Council scared. Like, fool, do you know how many people I've laid waste to by now?

I think failing to become a spectre has affected Anderson more than anyone realizes. To quote Kaidan, he's "a little rattled."

Anderson is Mass Effect's Qui-Gon Gin. He makes questionable or stupid decisions that no one seems to object to. Shepard points out the absurdity of mentioning the vision from the beacon, and he insists on adding it as an outstanding issue in a hearing about Saren's involvement with the geth, and then sends Shepard right through the middle where resistance is heaviest, insisting that he/she protect tanks...on foot.

He has his match in Jack though.

The difference is that Jack doesn't affect the plot as much as Kai Leng does. Shes's just weaker than expected in gameplay. With Kai Leng, Shepard manages to lose the fight despite Leng being slow and making nonsensical moves. That's way more irksome.

Sh*t, I wish Shepard could use a sword. The problem isn't the fact that he uses one, but rather that he never seems to use anything else. He seems to have some kind of gauntlet-mounted weapon that he can use to shoot people (only if he succeeds in killing the salarian councilor), but he never once seemed to use this thing during combat, unlike the Phantoms, that actually use their ranged weapon as they approach.

I'm more irked by the invincible gunship, obscured behind its spotlight. Shepard may have already destroyed three of these things over the course of Mass Effect 2, so what was one more?

You did good child. So Anderson, you think femshep is a child?

Why couldn't he just say you did good Shepard? Fortunately I have TIM kill him.

Too distant for the bond they're supposed to have.
That scene is pretty much a "look at this father-son/daughter like relationship, aaaaahw *big anime eyes*"
There is no bond between them. And no father/daughter crap. I don't like anderson and fortunately I let TIM kill him to avoid that dialogue.
