Shes awesome, really. She is seriously winning my first playthrough. Dont know why people are complaining.

I was planning a female Qunari run since it was announced that was even an option. I've played every combination or race and sex you can do in DA before, except that one. No way would I pick anything else for my first run.

Well that wasn't a rhetorical question but when I said less curvy I meant more stocky.

Anyway I prefer her like this rather than what we saw on the chart because the dimorphism would have been pretty ridiculous if she had been like that.

The voice is not relevant as I said. It's not a valid design problem because it's not specifically part of the female qunari's design. It's a feature all four races can choose to have. I am only asking about the female qunari specifically, you may as well be talking about her outfit, ofc I don't mind you mentioning it but it really isn't a relevant criticism of the female qunari design.

I didn't say the head was the standard, I said it wasn't unrealistic and it's not even for the female. I actually don't even see how the head looks all that disproportionate.

about 9:05, I cropped it and made it a little brighter but it's just that image.

From what I've seen, I approve. I'll need to see more of course to really have an opinion tho.

Not this .Gray -skinned human with horns . I expected qunaris to look like qunaris .

Beefy and taller . Well the CC has't been shown yet so we'll see. Until then ...meh...

So...gray skinned(and possibly varying shades of bronze and other metallic colors) humans with horns, then? Because that is basically what they are. Also, they have ox/cattle ears. From the demo, we can also tell that she is taller than most people and a little bit shorter than Bull. As for being more "beefy" she definitely isn't a dainty twig.

That's the lighting, in the QnA they said the skin colour will be ranges of gray.

The horns look a bit wonky.Too flimsy. And yes, the ever present noodle arms.  Other than those, i like the design.

The voice is a problem because it just doesn't fit in my opinion.

If you met me in real life you would say the same thing about me.

It's bad that with a dimorphic race with have clear define woman, the woman look like woman. Mind you the model is far from over sexed. Female qunari were never shown to be super beefy like the males.

That clear has too much meat on there to be noodle arms.

She is beefy and very tall, did you expect a 7ft bodybuilder with a wig?

That's the lighting, in the QnA they said the skin colour will be ranges of gray.

"Q: What's the range of qunari skin tones for Inquisition? All metallic colors? Bronze? Gold? Copper? Silver?
A: I think you're thinking of D&D dragons ;)
They have a range from darker to lighter tones. (ML)"

he never actually said grey only.

That would be a little amusing if Qunari had turned out to be Dragon Age Draconians. They aren't, of course, but if.

My bad must have misread that I still think that that's the lighting though in the pic. As earlier shots of that demo she seems rather grey.

You could be right, I really have no idea tbh. If she is grey then she is a rather light shade.

You don't like hips and thighs?

I don't like HER hips and thighs.

If you met me in real life you would say the same thing about me.

Size=/=voice.

I wasn't born yesterday.

This is not a question of how realistic the model is or my opinions on women in real life who look like her. Different things. I think she doesn't have the same quality treatment than some other races. We can have a real life human male that is fat, balding and his upper range speaking voice sounds like a catscreech. I can think of hundreds like that, in my daily life, in entertainment, pop culture etc. Does this mean that a human male in DAI should look and talk like that? It just doesn't fit.

If the question is "if that's an average looking everyday qunari that goes about her business, would you approve of the design?". I'd say mostly yes. Perhaps the arm to body proportions are a little off, perhaps the head is a little too small, but I'm mostly ok with the design. I can see it as a working template. As I can see a less muscular male qunari that has a beer belly

But for a protagonist I just think she is subpar to any other race/gender combination I've seen till now. I can't see this type working as a rogue or a warrior. Perhaps for mage.

She is beefy and very tall, did you expect a 7ft bodybuilder with a wig?

Personally I think that would be a better direction than the current one. There are various looks for female bodybuilders. Some are more extreme, others don't look that much different over clothes, but they have common ground in fat percentage. Every other race is consistent, why Qunari shouldn't be?

Well She seems to be sticking pretty close to the concept art to me.

Sure they both have horns and both look like they are the same race, but they are vastly different in appearances. One looks like an athlete and the other looks like.. I don't know, a housewife. Certainly I don't think she features a warrior's physique like some people think. I expected her to have more pronounced features than the concept art like the human female does for DA2 in game but this is not what I had in mind.

Now we can have a whole discussion about how medieval warrior women really look like, but it has to be relevant to the game. If male Qunari warrior is a human on steroids, then I expect something similar for the other gender. I personally don't like elves" physique as well but at least the game usually doesn't show them in Massive Armor wielding a greatsword (I can only think of one instance this happens, the gunpowder courtesy quest in DA2 and she looks like an inside joke or something). The design mostly fits and it's similar in both genders. Dwarves are the same. Consistent.

Qunari design has the males to be half naked bodybuilders in partial metal armor and the females...? I don't know. I can't really explain it any more in depth. The bottom line is that I think something is off that it's big enough to notice.

Females never have a warrior build in DA except for Aveline. It's why I can't bring myself to play a female warrior in DA2, FemHawke's body is just too thin to make it realistic. If I could choose an Aveline body type then I would be able to. As it is, I can only ever play rogues or mages as female in that game. I'm not surprised even a Qunari female doesn't have a warrior build, being female alone will bar her from that with the way Bioware doing the body creation. Still, I can actually see myself doing a warrior run as a female Qunari. Even if she isn't as well built as she could be, even a "housewife" built female Qunari looks more than big and strong enough to wear massive armor and use a greatsword (unlike FemHawke).
