Females never have a warrior build in DA except for Aveline. It's why I can't bring myself to play a female warrior in DA2, FemHawke's body is just too thin to make it realistic. If I could choose an Aveline body type then I would be able to. As it is, I can only ever play rogues or mages as female in that game. I'm not surprised even a Qunari female doesn't have a warrior build, being female alone will bar her from that with the way Bioware doing the body creation. Still, I can actually see myself doing a warrior run as a female Qunari. Even if she isn't as well built as she could be, even a "housewife" built female Qunari looks more than big and strong enough to wear massive armor and use a greatsword (unlike FemHawke).

Compared to Malehawke, femhawke isn't really that different imo. Especially with armor on. Rogues seem similar although femhawke is a bit zoomed in.

Also Aveline isn't that different. The body is generic. If anything it's her jaw that gives her a fiercer look

Arms are the same, waist is the same.

DA2 only has generic bodies and both genders don't have a warriors build. Male hawke looks more like a model than a warrior. But even if it's not realistic the art direction is consistent. Which is my main problem with fem qunari in DAI.

I agree though, fem qun looks more the part than both Hawke genders.

Right, armor on. Take them off though and male Hawke has a toned and muscular and fit body and female Hawke has a hot body with no real muscle. Basically male Hawke has the body of an athlete or soldier, and female Hawke just looks like a regular attractive woman. Fine for classes that focus on dexterity and speed or magic, not fine for a strength based class.

I love how she looks. I'm just hoping we get long hair now.

Not sure that makes sense.  As far as I know, Qunari can't control the gender of a child, so how would they breed specific traits along gender lines?

Unless they commit infanticide, which wouldn't at all surprise me.

Love the race-unique facial features. And the blood splatters. ;)  Also she looks very feminine, don't get those who complain about the lack of femininity in the default female Qunari from the trailers.

I don't like HER hips and thighs.

I wasn't born yesterday.

This is not a question of how realistic the model is or my opinions on women in real life who look like her. Different things. I think she doesn't have the same quality treatment than some other races. We can have a real life human male that is fat, balding and his upper range speaking voice sounds like a catscreech. I can think of hundreds like that, in my daily life, in entertainment, pop culture etc. Does this mean that a human male in DAI should look and talk like that? It just doesn't fit.

If the question is "if that's an average looking everyday qunari that goes about her business, would you approve of the design?". I'd say mostly yes. Perhaps the arm to body proportions are a little off, perhaps the head is a little too small, but I'm mostly ok with the design. I can see it as a working template. As I can see a less muscular male qunari that has a beer belly

But for a protagonist I just think she is subpar to any other race/gender combination I've seen till now. I can't see this type working as a rogue or a warrior. Perhaps for mage.

1. Agein...total disbelief.

2. You do understand the the protagonist start out as normal people and are not super heroes. Just because it not tide to what you thing a protagonist should look like does not mean it's sub par. Most cases for the warden and Hawke they start out as people taken form the street who can be anyone and they become the hero by chance. The  with the exception of 2 origins start out as normal people of their cultures. Why would that be different for dai?

I like her look a lot, and I hope in the CC we can make our qunari ladies more "pretty" if we would like. Also, quite superficial but I hate her weird beard tattoo, lol.

Well they should at least reach a bit short of the knees and it feels more like they are on the levels of her hips.

It isn't anything that'd bother me while playing, just an observation.

No, with regular proportions you'll have male hands reach to about mid-thigh which is still less than 'bit short of the knees' and women arm length tends to be slightly less than that, with wrist at crotch level. The way they're now is about as 'right' as it gets.

This. I don't wanna be stuck with short hair. Especially not since the usual hair mods probably won't come :(

Yeah I checked since then.and came to the conclusion I simply have slightly overproportionate long arms.

Elves get the same voice. Dwarves get the same voice. And we never heard how a qunari female sounds like only male. And female sound differently then males.

There isn't even a definition for what you refer to as "normal".

Human noble trained warrior, Dwarf noble military commander and warrior. Dalish elf trained hunter, Dwarf Commoner thief with a million hardships. They have to look the part. You can't be a warrior that Duncan came specifically to recruit you and not be at the peak of your physical condition. You can't be a homeless thief and not look the part. Only mage and city elf can look what you refer to as "normal" and that can be argued, at least for city elf.

Hawke enlisted in Ostagar, was one of the few survivors of the battle, took him one year to because one of the most known shady characters in Kirkwall working as a smuggler or mercenary. He should look the part.

As I said, I think Fem Qun looks like a housewife. Different thing. Not warrior. Not rogue. Athletic can work for both, muscular with broad shoulders too (archers for example). Mrs Hips doesn't. I said that she could look the part as mage perhaps but that's it. I can't really understand the point you are trying to make. You just have me rephrasing my post because you had an epiphany or something that didn't think through. If you think that my assessment "housewife" is wrong, then say so, but it seems like you agree with me if you feel that you have to advocate that looking "normal" is fine.

There are two different voices to choose from. The one in the demo is the one associated with humans and elves, while the other one more fits with the dwarves and qunari.

But anyone of voice can be use for any race. In dao we do have 2 britsh sounding dwarves, and the elves have both British and american accents.

A train hunter is not a super muscular person. With the Dwarf caseless that true with nearly everyone of them. It just 2 origin that are not the norm. You have the skill but you still a normal person. Not even the elves are super muscular and they can use 2 handed swords.

Hawke enlisted in Ostagar but one look at him topless and you can see he/she is not super muscular. Athletic yes but not super muscular. Athletic does not mean muscular.

Sorry but you are placing too much of a high expectation.

Why would they do such a thing? It would be considered a waste of resources, if nothing else. The Qunari waste nothing.
