Definitely importing my Roche run first now in hopes of adding more to that.
I hope for more glorious Geralt/Roche wombo-combo of badass, or else I want my money back.

I definitely prefer Broche over Iorveth, but he's a great character as well, so hopefully that we'll see him as well, especially as an ally if you choose Iorveth's path.

Iorveth's path made me appreciate Roche even more, tho. Dude helps Geralt out even when he's aiding his arch-enemy, because he sees you're still getting the job done. Respect.

I always felt that the two paths were very different. Roche is classic Witcher, an army camp half full of supersticious, murder-happy soldiers, to say nothing of the ******* king and the obsequious evil sorcerer. You can also add an ancient bloodcurse to the mix along with a conspiracy and the backstory of how a sorceress torched two entire armies. In the end, whatever you do, everything turns to ****, Kaedwin conquers Vergen, Roche's buddies get massacred, Ves gets raped, etc.
The Iorveth path, by contrast, is almost the polar opposite. A city full of cliché hearthy dwarves with scottish accents who are all pals with the PC as soon as they see him, spiced with such things as LOTR references, a nice succubus, and a fantasy Joan of Arc that's actually a dragon in disguise. Sure, Philippa mind controls her (with delightful lesbomancy) but apart from Stennis being accused of poisoning her and both him and the peasants being assholes I wouldn't be certain I was even playing in the same universe as the shithole back in Flotsam. You can even get the happy ending by beating back Kaedwen like the plucky underdog you are.
For characters, I prefer Roche.

They definitely were impressively distinct from each other. Particularly interesting when you consider the more morally feel-good, underdog supporting path is the one where you side with the person who was presented as an enemy for the first bit of the game.
If this is wrong, I don't want to be right.
The struggle is real tho

Roche and Iorveth are both great characters. CDPR did a great job making me enjoy both paths. While I prefer Roche overall, Saskia is one of my favourite characters, so Iorveth's path has a lot of appeal to me. It makes me feel better to help her than helping with Henselt, and I'm interested in seeing her/hearing of Upper Aedirin in TW3, too.
Iorveth's path made me appreciate Roche even more, tho. Dude helps Geralt out even when he's aiding his arch-enemy, because he sees you're still getting the job done. Respect.
They both are definitely great characters. Both paths offers different perspectives and experience. I do feel like Roche is more a Geralt's buddy than Iorveth. I'll admitted the truth, I liked Saskia until the moment I save her and free her from Philippa's spell, and when she's admit she just using Iorveth. I can't help but feel disgusted, and my Geralt isn't even Scoia'tael supporter. I still enjoy Iorveth's path a lot, though, like you I'd prefer helping her over Henselt, Dethmold gets decapitated (although his death is far more satisfying in Roche's path), and I love fighting side by side with the Bro race the Dwarves. I fear for the Upper Aedirin in TW3, Stennis is still around in my play-through, but Saskia have bigger problem to be worried about.
Aye, he still trusts you even if you're on the opposite side. Hopefully he'll still show up even if you choose Iorveth's path, but I wonder how both Roche and Iorveth will react to my Geralt who spared Letho, lol.

Except, on the Iorveth path, you really don't. Because Kaedwen losing is exactly what the Lodge wanted, and really want Nilfgaard wanted too (a weaken and fragmented northern kingdom it can just wash away). The irony of all of it is the worst Roche outcomes - a conquered Pontar Valley and a Temeria either split between Radovid and Henselt (with Henselt obviously alive), or entirely annexed to Radovid - is probably better to counterbalance Nilfgaard in the long-run.
I think what makes Iorveth's path work so well is how - like the werewolf quest in TW1 - it's a lone bright spot in an otherwise entirely **** world.
That said, I absolutely could not connect with Roche. It just doesn't work for me. I'm grateful for his saving me from execution (not that he doesn't have an interest in it) and he's genuinely out to help Geralt on a number of occasions, even when it bites him in the ass, but his dedication to Temeria just doesn't work for me, and the way he blunders in to get his hate boner against Iorveth off when you've cornered Letho is infuriating (especially after you asked Roche to but out and cut a deal with Iorveth).
To me, siding with Iorveth both times is the natural choice - the first because I cut a deal with him, so I owe him at least his sword, and the second, because he's the one who actually knows Letho and where he went, unlike Roche.

I had Geralt side with Roche because the Scoia'tael had been accessories in Letho's plans, and it was those plans which led to the shitshow Geralt was trying to get sorted, not to mention the false accusation for kingslaying. The Blue Stripes and the Scoia'tael are both responsible for atrocities, so neither side was really preferable to the other...but up until that point Roche had been a fairly reliable ally, even if only because it served his own ends, and had freed Geralt.

So I got an email today saying that my Game pre-order for my CE of Witcher 3 has been shipped!
Delivery is 1 - 2 days, so if thats the case, it'll be here by Friday. Or they might have tagged it with something that says not to be delivered until the 19th lol
If they haven't and it does arrive early, expect pictures.
Also I hope Iorveth is in Witcher 3. If Roche is, Iorveth better be

It makes me wonder how Roche will react if you spared Letho, because the deal was he'd help you after you promised him you were still gunning for Letho.
