So... was anybody else thinking Geralt died at the end?

 

I wonder if this is some forshadowing.

 

Considering there's a post game and four potential endings I think his canon death is unlikely, but possible.

Damn, that was visually stunning. The amount of detail that was put into it is definitely visible.

Truly enjoyed the ending of the video, in how both Geralt and the monster were lying side by side on the ground, both 'defeated' by the fight. It sends a powerful message for Geralt, considering how the monster has withered away after the night and what the lyrics of the song bring forward; that one day even the Witcher will wither away from the world. Geralt is a dying breed, which has been evident right from the very first game, and both games have brought forward the prospect that Witchers aren't needed anymore and most of them aren't willing to adopt to a changing world (except for Letho).

The video is both entertaining and has an underlying theme, and I do love performances like these. Excellent work, CDPR! Now give us the game already!

Four? What happend to the other 32?

 

32 is a bit of a misnomer. There will be 32 ending variations, but only 4 very different world states, CDPR was pretty clear about this early on, but journalists were less clear about it. It somehow changed from "Four world states with a lot of variations in them" to "HOLY **** BALLS THIRTY TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ENDINGS!!!" Which is obviously not practical for CDPR to do.

In TW2? I wanted to import my TW1 save but so far the journal doesn't say what Geralt did. Unfortunately I'd have to redownload Witcher 1 from Steam to be able to load the TW1 saves.

This video is showing how Witcher 3 lets you make Witcher 2 decisions. 

 

No Witcher 3 Spoilers. But basically the way its handled is a sort of interrogation, the person asks Geralt questions about events from Witcher 2, and you get to choose responses.

 

Also the girl talking is kinda hot. Love her Ear tunnels!

 

But it's making me question if I really should of saved Triss instead of cure Saskia. If it turns out in Witcher 3 that Geralt and Triss's development reacts to that decision from Witcher 2, I may get another, alternate ending save ready. Bugger it, I'm doing that now!

 

Also I'm not sure if others have pre-ordered the artbook of Witcher 3, but I just got this from Amazon, so check those emails if you have it pre-orderd to make sure you get one as well!

Wait... why is Letho hiding from Nilfgaard? I thought they will be on his side especially after he successfully plunged North into chaos and allowing Nilfgaard to invade again. Did Emhyr broke his promise about giving Witchers their own land and schools or did i miss something in TW2?

Last year a post something about it, but, we don't much information, only that the man who ask you the question think you make a ''Alliance'' with Letho, he don't know what happens to Letho and where he is. Many people at the time that the Letho ''appeared'' theorized that he had repented and would help Geralt against wild hunt, But I thought that Emhyr had betrayed him. We will see.

 

Have you seen that if Letho is dead or alive is one of the barber questions? I'm asking because I have read on another forum that one of the questions is if Henselt is alive or not and Letho isn't mentioned.

Yup, I see with my own eyes, nothing about Henselt. But... the man who are playing choose Ioverth, I don't know what happens if you choose Roche, but, Letho is confirmed in the game, so, he's question will be, it's the last one. I will show you:

The EE versions are usually major bugfixes with extra content. I doubt they'd go back and make all new assets for a completed game and go through all that optimizations again. Unless of course, they were charging money for it, which they won't. Besides they have to work on expansions and then shift all focus over to Cyberpunk 2077.

It was possible with Watch_Dogs.

Watch_Dogs just add some effects disabled and people enabled them. For The Witcher 3 I am guessing it was more than effects, textures are a lower resolution, draw distance is far less impressive, the high environment level destruction seems to be toned down quite a bit and lighting was totally revamped. Once the REDkit comes out people might be able to emulate some of those effects and textures increase the resolutions.

If they had planned on doing that the PC version would probably still look like the initial trailers. Making the game look like that  again would probably require the creation of a whole lot of new art assets and would be pretty expensive. CDPR is a company and some good PR won't keep the afloat, money will and the amount to remake the game would probably be drastic.
