Hey so maybe the evil tree was right?

I think the tree is genuine when it says something is coming for the children and only it could save them. I would have sided with the tree and fried those ugly hags with igni.

It's turning to be a difficult task to not pre-order this game.

I'll hopefully be able to put some more money in my bank account soon and then I'll finally preorder it, so you're not alone.

Holy....crap. That's all I can really say. That 35 minutes of gameplay was just incredible. I can't wait for this. I haven't been this excited for a videogame in a very long time.

I went to the Witcher forum to look at the thread about the MS exclusive physical stuff and i wasn't disappointed ! f*cking hilarious levels of butthurt and for what *cough* a cloth map that i would rather toss in the garbage than keep, who even want that stuff.

But i can understand some of it as well and hope it isn't getting worse and eventually involves in game items, greed always start somewhere.

Also all talk about trust on that board annoys me, you don't simply trust a developer whether it's CDP or not, meh the witcher thread here seems more chill atm.

You aren't the only one disappointed - some of the community itself was, too. I think it's safe to say that the harsh reactions belong to a very vocal minority, while most of the community is much more level-headed about it, and that even a part of those against the deal are still collected and keep things in the right proportions.

Now you too saw that awesome demo presentation that those of us who went to gamescom saw last week.

It was over 2-hours of waiting in the line for witcher booth alone but it was so worth it. Got to meet some of my favorite developers first-hand and got some awesome witcher bundle.

That gameplay looked even more impressive on the big screen there and it was not recording but one developer actually played those segments with an xbox controller.

Poor fella was already death tired on playing that same gameplay over and over again and had some difficulty with some of those water hags and that werewolf. SO much in fact that I actually held my breath when it seemd at some points the health of Geralt would drop to zero.

He obviosly used higher difficulty than that video recorder.

Luckily he didnt die as Geralt and he showed much more variantly the combat skills of the game. In comparison that player on the video recording uses annoingly much Quen, Igni and that backward dodge when there is no need to.

I have not paid much attention to Dragon Age: Inquisition. I occasionally watch gameplay demo videos here and there. Does Dragon Age: Inquisition have any video that shows life in a city or town? (i.e., similar to what is shown in the beginning of the 35-minute gameplay demo video of the Witcher 3.) I'd like to see how two games handle city/town dynamics.

That E3 demo where the Inquisitor walks into Redcliffe, but the civilians there pretty much stand still in one place, also I believe there's no dynamic day/night cycle in DA:I so I don't expect the NPCs to have a daily schedule like in TW3.

Witches and children rarely go well together. That's something each fairy tale has taught me

I might side with the tree as well. The fact that those witches collect limbs ring enough bells for me to know something is wrong with them.

The tree being good is kinda obvious in the aftermath, isn't it?

The first time you see 'the ladies' they are shown as beautiful women on that tapestry. Spirit of the forest? Some ugly mass of tentacles straight from Lovecraft. Yet, it's 'the ladies' that turn out to be the real monsters here - I mean come on.

Appearances can be deceiving. It's a trick Sapkowski often used in the novels.

I had to watch four hours of porn just to get rid of that massive hard-on I had for that vid.

It was beautiful.

Graphically stunning.

But witcher 2 was graphically stunning and nothing else, hope they made a proper combat system with a decent skill trees.

Btw knew the girl with gray hair was Ciri.

I heavily doubt that tree spirit just wants to save children.

I'm pretty sure there are some heavy consequences if you decide to help him, remember this is Witcher. There are no good guys here.

I was thinking the same. That tree didn't look all that benevolent either. If it can command the "powers of nature" it might be even more dangerous than the witches when set free. The villagers did seem to believe the witches offered protection.

I think the way it goes is-

A. The Witches suck ass but you let them live, kill the tree thing at the hillock, and even though they treat people like *expletive*, they'll keep the place safe

B. You let the tree thing at the hillock free, you and it deals with the Witches and you think all's well, but it offers no real protection and if you come back later the place is destroyed and everyone died

Probably something like that

I think thats exactly the outcome, based on the rumors/previews that I've read on other forums and websites. Help the witches and maintain the s***ty status quo that keeps the village/area "safe", or help the tree spirit, end the witches' tyranny, remove the protection against surrounding monsters and deserters, and doom the village forever. Not an easy choice.

Thats what I got from "We need to find our own protection to survive out here". The whole "No Gods are watching over us" thing.

The story portions look very well done.

I'm still not sold on the combat, though. It looks very basic, granted that it's only a preview and I haven't actually played the game. If they can make all the signs worthwhile this time it'll be a huge improvement by itself.

Visually looks stunning.........but thats a given.

What really impressed me was how much better the combat looked. It looks so much more fluid and responsive compared to Witcher 2 combat which was the weakest part of the game for me.

The signs were always good and useful, especially on higher difficulty. The only problem is that they never had any ""punch" to them aside from Aard and maybe Quen.

I mean look at Igni in first two games, they are small fireballs compared to TW3 where Geralt literally has flamethrower coming out of his hands:

http://gfycat.com/Fr...dSneakyHornbill which looks great and i really love the camera zoom.

Leave poor Igni alone. Igni/Endurance build for TW1 was really fun, by mid-game Geralt was a walking inferno. Add the panic/burning status effects with the sword styles, and you had the recipe for delicious barbeque.

Knowing CDPR: Kill 'em all and let the villagers fend for themselves. They get wiped out later. You bastard.
