That's exactly what I did.  I had a copy at Gamestop.. until I saw the unlock times a week or so ago.  Went and bought a digital copy and got it all preloaded for Monday 4PM.  I have my physical copy paid and still in place just in caaaaase.  

 

Oh man.. the wait is finally over.  I finally caved and started watching DansGaming's no spoiler stream.  So beautiful.

I suppose we'll have to wait for more screenshot or a stream with Iorveth's path save import. They already include Roche, and Letho so I don't see why he shouldn't be in. I mean he still owes Geralt (in case you saved Saskia) that giving more reason for him to show up and help Geralt against the Wild Hunt. I kinda want to see Yarpen Zigrin in WH as well. ;__;

Watching the griffon fight, and while I like the design a lot (the animations are very well done) it seems Insane difficulty just means bloated monster HP and Geralt dying in two hits. Sure, it promotes using the monster's weakness rather than button mash, but with its huge health bar killing it the right way would take 5 minutes at least. Hope the big monsters and bosses aren't all like that.

If Iorveth is in the game, I wonder if he and Roche are on opposite sides again. I could see Roche either as part of the Temerian resistance or serving Radovid, while Iorveth and the scoia'tael collaborate with Nilfgaard.

Well the scoia'tael already got betrayed by Nilfgard, I doubt they'd work for them again...

 

God, can you imagine if Roche and Iorveth worked together to take down Nilfgard? They'd kill each other within 5 minutes but it would be the most awesome 5 minutes the world has ever seen.

Oh man I can't believe I managed to sleep last night. Although its not even 8am yet lol, but I'm pumped and the wait for midnight begins!

 

I hope my Collector's Edition arrives today, but not sure how Game handles Pre-orders, so will probably come tomorrow instead.

I don't think either of them will be glad to see Geralt in my import, so I hope they don't team up! 

 

Didn't give Roche Letho. And I went after Triss first chance I could, leaving Saskia under her mind controlled mistress lol. But I did pick up Phillipa's Dagger when I rescued Iorveth from those soldiers. I really hope that imports into Witcher 3, but we'll find out soon enough.

Couldn't give 2 piles of Mabari Poo about graphics.

 

Open World* + Quests + Story + Geralt = goty for me.

Also got an email from Game. My CE will be here tomorrow, I just hope they don't text me at an ungodly hour with the delivery window.

My thoughts are that I will finally play the game in less than 14 hours and luckily get a break from all the graphics whining. And the first two GIFS you posted, must be two of the most overused GIF's in history. I think I have seen these GIFS now 1000+ times.

^ I think what haunts me the most about those 2 "before" gifs, is Geralt's murky hair lol. Thank god with the final build, it truly fits the White Wolf himself.

 

And yeah, I really can't wait for midnight. Last time I was excited for a game like this was Gears of War 3.

I did see a gif-set where apparently the TV show had an episode where Geralt talks to Borch Three Jackdaws and his...lovely companions, which I loved. That was one of my favourite short stories from the books.

Exactly this.

Watching the meltdown on TW forums is fascinating, threads are being locked minute by minute.

 

I suspect the actual game won't satisfy the most graphic-obsessed but will still be very pretty.
