Yeah, the mods on The Witcher forums are doing one hell of a crackdown in regards to the graphical downgrade, and justify it with the thinest of reasons. Even the threads supposed to be dedicated to it get closed as soon as people aren't being borderline sycophantic. I've never seen the mods here being so militant, even in the rather chaotic days that were DA2 and ME3's release.

 

At any rate, release is at 6 PM here in EST. Working around the house all day, then grabbing a beer and enjoying what looks like to be the third great RPG to come out in 6 month's time. I have little love for the Queen of Canada, but if I can be given a day off in her name today, I'll take it and thank Her Majesty next time I see her.

I'm just getting it on Tuesday after work, which will have to rest on the shelf until the weekend. Can't allow myself to get distracted.

I've got a GOG copy (for an excellent price too - love GOGs regard for currency). That reminds me - I need to double check when the DL can start.

I'll play for about an hour or two before work and suffer through the lack of sleep.

Get GoG Galaxy. I already pre-loaded the game, then at release you need to download a day 1 patch to unlock the game then good to go. 

 

I assume it's 6pm in EST, since the game releases at 1 AM in Central Europe, for the entire world.

New account posters are starting thread after thread about it, talking of lies, betrayal, pre-order cancelled etc.

The reality of it will be known when the game is released, some 8 hours hence, so all the argument until then probably serves no purpose.

 

I posted on there that I would be sharing some screenshots off my Xbox post-launch,

only to have posters pile in mocking the idea of posting screenshots from 'Xbox lol'...

The thread was deleted and another poster banned in just a few minutes.

 

BSN mods are fluffy bunnies compared to those on TWf.

For those who have ordered from G2A, check your inbox. Just got my key. But I won't be using it, so if a person I sent it to already has it, I'll just leave it in here.

For her it would of probably been in the years range. Time worked differently, not only due to the World's she visited, but simply because her powers allowed her to move through space and time, that time itself became a redundant factor for her. 

 

It is a shame The Lady of the Lake and The Swallow's Tower are not yet translated globally (Fans have translated copies and they are online) as they mainly focus around her.

 

I think the hours in which we play as her will help satisfy your curiosity for a spinoff game. Who knows, she might be the main person in the next game, if they ever come back to the Witcher world.

You'd think she'd call your ass out for leaving her to die/be tortured. I would in her position. Hell, I'd probably never get over it.

Thanks for the advice. I'm downloading it. GOG says we've got about 6 1/2 hours left. I'm crazy excited. I'm also on PST, so the game releases midday for me. So much for having a social life tonight.

For those of us on consoles who couldn't import our Witcher 2 saves. I hope they give us the option of saying whether Geralt slept with Ves or not.

 

Unfortunately it doesn't look like you'll have that option. Here showcases how Witcher 3 lets you make Witcher 2 decisions.

 

This is obviously for Consoles, and the import system for PC will be that much more extensive. Like how it can carry over your neck tattoo if you got it in Witcher 2. So only expect any consequences with sleeping with Ves to only show on the PC version.
