TW3 is open world...

 

And don't get me started on the graphics down grade and some characters looking worse then TW2.

 

The reviews are saying that it's more story driven than open world. Open world elements and sections, but not a bland, dick around for hours not actually doing anything fun open world. Instead the open world provides a nice complementary side-show to the main story driven quests, which is how it should be unlike the filler that DA:I threw at us.

 

I like the graphics, but I guess it's down to taste. TW2 do vary and they were excellent too.

780 Ti SC is running at a toasty 70 range degrees lol. Had to unplug my 2nd monitor so it doesn't get toooo hot. I do have everything at Ultra, Hairworks is not on. All in all, quite happy, if I don't reach 60 frames, I don't reach 60.

 

But unless it gets 80+, i don't think I'll have to worry

 

Game keeps randomly closing. Going to check local game cache, then see if that fixes it.

There seems to be a bit of an issue with the mouse speed. It's too sensitive, and the surroundings blur when I move around.

For me the mouse speed was slow, but I toggled in-game camera/mouse speed and its working great. And its visually stunning to the point I might cry.

Anyway I just found out I can have one monitor set up to my graphics card, and one to my motherboard, which I'll sort out tomorrow morning. It'll reduce the heat on my gpu, and I can have 2 screens on all the time instead of unplugging.

Just tried it out before heading to bed, 1440p Ultra settings with Hairworks is a bit too much for my GTX 970.

Surprisingly, I am running it on a notebook with a GTX 760M though at 20 FPS. Alternating between high, medium, and low, does nothing to increase fps count what's suspect.

So tabbing out of the game, then back in appears to make it not only crash, but reverts back to borderless-window. Just a warning. Also thanks for reminding me about checking if anythings imported!

So far, so pretty good (i5, GTX970) at 1440p (settings mix of high and ultra, no hairworks).

Drop-dead gorgeous, great sense of place, wolves got the better of me (playing at hard). It's pretty late over here, off to bed and spend a couple of hours tomorrow with seriously starting this game. It already pretty much feels like a 'social life killer worthy of Mordor', we'll see if this feeling is correct .

Its cause of the timezone MS defaults to, I imagine.
