Did they explain the delay?
No, but it's Microsoft's fault. I think someone had it the time set wrong in the unlock system. CDProjekt is the one that gave the update and not Microsoft oddly enough. Microsoft is ignoring it so far.

Anyone with the Steam versions of both 2 and 3 know where the hell the savegames from 2 are located? They're not in the game folder, at least. I know they exist since W3 does find them, but the fact that they're all unnamed and indistinguishable from each other besides the date makes it kinda hard to choose which one to import since I last played W2 over a year ago and just picking the most recent one isn't an option since I had multiple playthroughs.
Or is the in-game version of building a world state good enough to where I can just use that to recreate what I did?
EDIT: nvm, found them

just downloaded the new GameReady driver and Witcher 3 runs smooth on ultra using my old 750 ti. Witchcraft!
It's up!
It's up!
Happy hunting.
Cheers!
Happy Hunting to all! I am bowing out of this thread until I beat the game to avoid spoilers.
This might be of help for NVidia users:

Mighty useful. Thanks!
LOL, one of the notice board quests is to hunt a deserter...and guess who it is.
Spoiler
Oh, so that's where he were.
Question though- When the game asks if it should simulate a Witcher 2 save for you, what does the difference between yes and no mean for the game on consoles?

I suppose there's a default state of the world if you don't simulate.
Best I can do:

Yeah, found this http://www.engadget....tes-cant-impor/
Damn, I can't find an FOV slider!
As soon as I saw that Notice board, I knew I'd be sidelined!
About to complete my first Witcher contract ![]()
Also one of the quests from the Board made me chuckle. Can't believe that NPC is back again!
I'm going to complete this contract ,then head to bed. It's near enough 2am, and my eyes are heavy.
Overrall at the moment, this game is beautiful. I have everything on Ultra save for Hairworks which isn't on, and a few other things. I'm probably not hitting 60fps, but oh well!
Is there anyway to get an in-game fps display active?
Have to stop playing for now, posting first impressions;
-It's a demanding game. My Radeon HD 260x can run it at medium settings, but not at 60 fps for sure. Looks very good even at those settings to me however.
-Writing is great, but that's to be expected.
-Quest design seems good, did two quests so far and it wasn't just go there, kill x. Here's hoping this keeps up all game long.
-Atmosphere in the starting village is great... until you notice the same dialog is on a loop all the time. Not a big deal, but I'd rather have NPCs say their piece once or twice then shut up.
-M&KB controls aren't very good. I could play Inquisition with it, but TW3 is probably going to be more of a struggle.
-No reason to buy food and crafting ingredients when you can just ransack houses and take everything without anyone batting an eyelash.
-Cutscenes are very well animated. Facial animations are the best I've seen for a game.
Overall very positive first impressions. Wish I could play more for now.
Combat is still absolutely dreadful.
Yeah, the looting everything with no consequence does make me chuckle.
I can go in and take everything in the Witcher universe, but oh no, as soon as I pick up a sweetroll in Skyrim, I have the whole military after me!
Audio seems to lower for no reason.
played for 3 hours. Surpsrisingly heavily enjoying the combat. It's amazing (playing on the highest difficulty)
Did only the first sidequest and a small part of the mainquest in White Orchard and just had my first "storm". Fantastic atmosphere
-the same dialog is on a loop all the time. Not a big deal, but I'd rather have NPCs say their piece once or twice then shut up.
Is the dialogue loop like Skyrim?
I like combat in the hardest difficulty so far. I needed to position myself every second, to time my attacks well and think about what my signs can bring.
I don't like the lightning in White Orchard, the sunrise/sunset is atrocious and vulgar to me. Like lens flare and explosions. Lightning on hair, beard and foliage is mediocre.
Textures are ok-ish.
The card minigame is surprisingly good. Glad they got rid of Dice Poker.
I spoke to 3 people (a tavern owner, a scholar and a "vagrant") and I'm already hooked to the world. Dialogs are very well written, sometimes full of humor, melancholy, wit, hiding meanings. I'm already attached to Geralt because of some very moving facial animations in the beginning of the game. The world looks solid, nothing is... "cheap" so far.
A very, very good start. I've never been so eager to continue my journey since... well, some games I liked when I was younger in 1999-2003.
