Finished up Lethos quest. Best quest so far.

Second best bro! Now only need to meet Broche.

What is the origin of the "Broche" term?

Because that is how you say "oral sex" where I'm from.

I'm currently on my phone so spoilers is a bit tricky. But I'll tell you tomorrow on Steam. Provided you haven't catched up with me by then :P

While my Geralt isn't going to care much About Yenn's reaction to the relationship with Triss, it wasn't Geralt's fault.

Yep, it was Triss' fault. Yenn didn't want to hear any of it, though. :S

Can you really blame Yen tho? Sure we as the player know Geralt is telling the truth but all Yen knows is that Geralt and Triss got very close after the first game, no matter what.

Encountered some graphical problems, textures and npc's pop-in randomally in my face, thankfully not enemies so far, but still rather annoying.

The only other problem I have with the game is the skill system and the need to drag skills into slots to activate them, I hated this restriction in DA:I and I hate it in TW3. (if I invest points in a skill, it should be active all the time, it's not a potion or a piece of armor... Geralt shouldn't just forget how to deflect arrows...) Hope that a mod will be able to change that somehow in the future.

The game is significantly harder than TW2 not to mention DA:I, I'm occasionaly dying playing the second difficulty level, and not just to huge monsters, bandits are plenty dangerous, still, getting better...

All in all, despite some problems and bugs, I'm having fun, probably more than I had playing other games in the last 2 years or so.

Good job CDPR.

I remember back in TW2 that a mob of nekkers was one of the worst things to fight. Good to see that CDP kept that up with Valen wolves and bandits.

*starts laughing uncontrollably*

But yeah, my first monster encounter was with three Drowners, and I almost died.

Quite funny how Geralt teaches Ciri to prepare beforehand, yet I just go charging right at them. Rookie mistake.

Speaking of Ciri, I really like her. The way she refered to Geralt as "my father" made me go awww yeah!

Also the emotions that get evoked whenever Geralt talks about her are great. I really can't wait for a reunion.

Terrain!

In all honesty.. probably nekkers. So many and from every direction was a bit of a bother until I mastered the combat once more.

I don't find the nekkers in TW3 as bad as tW2 so far. Tho that will probably change when bigger groups are introduced.

Argh... I feel sick. I was tricked into helping them... hags. Murdered a druid for it and helped the one who tried to eat Ciri.

Damn damn damn damn damn.

EDIT: Not to mention the kids. Gee, how did I not see that coming :(

Terrain!

Fun story here:

Was doing the quest with exploring the Griffin nest, and once I had completed it and set my mark on next objective, I decided to run and jump down from the top, since I assumed it was only up on a hill.

Turns out that just as I went all "Geronimo!" like, I noticed too late that the other side was actually quite a fall and I lost 80% of my health.

So yeah, terrain is indeed terrifying.

This question has been asked a million times, but I'd rather get several answers from people who have actually played the games instead of one general one from some reviewer.

Do I need to play the first two Witcher games to understand and fully enjoy 3? I'm currently unable to play them, but I am reading the books, if that'll help at all.

The first game doesn't matter, it's like fanfiction and it even contradicts the world's lore. The second game ties in with the books and with the third game. But I wouldn't say that you absolutely have to play it. So far the decisions made in the second game didn't make much of an impact on the situation in the third one.

As for the books, I really don't know if they're going to enhance your experience or not. They will spoil the mystery of the Wild Hunt, though.
