I don't find Quen to be quite as spammable as it was before.

 

That said, I've dumped most of my skill points into swordplay.

It wouldn't suprise me. You could hear him a lot of times in Witcher 2 as well (along with Ser Jory as Vernon Roche and plethora of others).

Went from dropping bandits like fools in White Orchard to running the hell away from them in Vergen. D:
My sword breaking is starting to annoy me tho. Especially when it breaks again right after I repair the bloody thing.

The game is freaking gorgeous. I find myself just stopping at times and admiring the scenery.

Sebastian's VA has voice characters in Witcher 2 so it wouldn't be a surprise that they use him again

The graphic requirements are insane. Playing on low and it still stutters something fierce.

And I bought a new PC recently to play Inquisition.

enjoying it immensely so far, I finished up White Orchard and met not!Tywin and am currently just going around in the no man's land area

Yeah Quen is still the best Sign, to my slight disappointment. The gameplay loop is very similar to TW2: Quen, attack attack, dodge, re-apply Quen if needed or use another Sign, attack attack, rinse and repeat. Only big hordes of enemies break that pattern, forcing you to get some distance and use bombs or Igni. Parry I've found to be useless against anything but humans using 1-handed weapoins.
 
As for VAs, Jo Wyatt as Ciri was a great choice, I took an instant liking to her. I also swear I've heard Blackwall in the mouth of a few of the Bloody Baron's soldiers in Vergen. Speaking of said Baron;

He's an interesting character, reminds me a lot of Robert Baratheon of ASOIAF fame. The quest where you help him exorcise his unborn child is also hella creepy.

And finally, I am impressed with the side-quests. They are all filled with choices, dialog and vary objectives a lot, definitely better than what Bioware does. Unfortunately, the main quest isn't inspiring me so far. It has great cutscenes, but the pace is pretty slow and it seems to follow a pattern of Geralt needing information on Ciri and having to perform a series of menial tasks that would be side-quests in other games to get that info and move on. Nothing too exciting so far, I prefer how other RPGs do the main quests.

I need to ask something that is for people who have read the books. Is Yennefer just using Geralt? I get bad vibes from that woman, bad juju. Even the sorceress Keira Metz said something like when Yennefer would stop treating me like a dog. So i just have to know. What was the relationship like between Geralt and Yennefer?

it was always kind like this. They have opposite personality. Keira is my new favorite.

I got it yesterday at 14 o clock, played it with sparse breaks and stopped at 2am. Played it today for 5 more hours.

 

It has already claimed my life and it puts every Bioware game since Mass Effect and Dragon Age Origins to shame. CDPR is the future.

 

If this game isn't my GOTY then 2015 is going to be an insanely good year for gaming.

 

Also spoiler talk: I met Triss now, (She's in the game, duh) but after a rather nice quest she leaves but she's gonna be a part of the main quests after a while isn't she? I know the game wants to focus on Ciri and Yennefer, and I guess, Geralt's coming of age, but because Yennefer was never present in the other games I just care a lot more about Triss. Don't spoil any choices or the ultimate outcome of things for me... I just wanna know if Triss will join up and have a bigger role than just a cameo.

I'm happy Keira made it to the games at last. So far alot of my fav characters from the books have shown up in TW3.
