It is good to see Geralt being even more sarcastic than ever. Had already gotten a few good laughs from several remarks that he has made to others.

I love me some snarky protagonists.

Level 4 Geralt somehow set off a lone level 18 Redanian soldier.

Stunlocked him and killed him by whaling on him for 5 minutes. Got 2 xp and a broken sword as reward.

Fun game is fun.

So far still amazing. The quests are so well done. I've seen people kinda debating Yenn's and Triss's approach to Geralt trying to two time them, and personally I think it's a cool little touch. It shows they're not afraid to stick up for themselves. And with my goofy personality I'd probably do a little get even prank as well. So I can't fault that lol.

"Triss or Yennefer" has proven to be quite the dilemma. My playthrough has come to a screeching halt because of it.

I like the Nilfgaardians. They're haughty, but at least don't treat Geralt and non-humans like utter crap.

Plough the North.

Triss :- Redhead, hazel eyes, sweet, cute, romantic, lovey-dovey and overall adorable.

Yennefer :- Raven haired, purple eyes, cool, sensual, kinky, ice-queen and overall layered.

Both a great. Both are valid. Both will put out.

Pick one. Or do multiple playthroughs.

Is there any way to actually visit Triss in Novigrad outside missions? Want to see more of her :P

That and he has shown alot more emotion than before.

Seriously, there was a point during the story where it almost looked like he was about to cry.

Gwent is awesome. Spent some hours just searching for enemies and improving my deck. And got my first Hero card (Letho)

Btw I'm surprised by the userscore of the game on metacritic. 9.0 for the xbox and ps4 version and 8.8 for the pc version. I expected the game would get trashed there and up somewhere in Dragon Age Inquistion regions (5.8-7.5) because of the graphics downgrade. Sure, there are some 0/10 because of it, but much less than I thought.

CDPR handled the war really well. Instead of a clear cut bad and good, it is a shade of grey. Nilfgaard (I prefer to call them Milfgaard  :P ) have their own **** and the North have their own as well. Nilfgaardians are more tolerant of non-humans and even magic but they have a very uptight and regimented society. The North is somewhat loose and they can indulge in a lot of debauchery but they are intolerant of non-humans and magic.

Plus, you can actually see the war or more specifically, the effects of the war with occupations, lost lives, devastation, etc.

Unlike a certain game which says there are tons of wars going on but does little to nothing to show it.

Because the downgrade thing is overblown. CDPR has promised to give PC users the options to unlock the ini files to push the game to whatever graphical limits they want in the future and what have you.

It's a much more personal story with a much more personal stake for Geralt this time around, so I'm liking Geralt having breaks in his stoic demeanour now and then.

Anyone feel sorry for Roche? From being a top-shot spymaster to being a leader of a really small rag-tag partisan group.

Anyway, not really a tip but if you need some quality metals/leather. You can try letting allies die in fights (witch hunters, Redianian soldiers, nilfgaard scouts, etc) and loot their magical or master crafted swords and armor.

So is this game the greatest rpg ever?

The game has so much hype and barely any video game news website talked about the downgrade or made it a big deal. Gamespot didn't talk about it, IGN didn't and neither did game informer or game trailers. I'm almost sure that Gamespot is being paid by CDProjektRED.

The story part I meant was.

Well, let's just say Geralt was finally able to see in a way how much Ciri had grown as a woman. And that really affected him.

Oh, haven't gotten that far.

I did love that moment near the beginning where Yenn and Geralt just stop for a moment and look at that picture of her, all "Our little girl's all grown up..."

I never really took Yenn for a person to take on a mother role :P

So that was a pleasant surprise.

That's how it was in the books. Geralt was a father to her, Yenn a mother, Triss something of a big sister, Uncle Vesemir, so on so on.

Gives me a feels barrage every time Ciri mentions them as family. Not even adopted family, they're just straight up family to her.

In regards Of Novigrad, Are you satisfied by the Number of NPCs in the city? I remember reading in some article About the downgrade that the Number of them was reduced.

I'm playing on pc and I like the number. The city really feels alive if you ask me.

And not just mindless drones walking around all the time. Go to the tavern during the evening and it will be packed with folks. Meanwhile during the morning its basically empty.
