Some fresh pics. Finally we get a closer look at Yennefer

Yennefer > Triss
I hope I'm gonna like her ![]()
I'm hoping that before the game releases we'll get a clip of Yennefer speaking, or at least an announcement on who her VA is.
Hopefully it is someone half-decent at least, unlike whoever it is that voices Triss in the English version. English-version Triss in TW2 is quite possibly the worst voice-acted character I've seen in a video game in the last 10 years.
Here's hoping they changed Triss's VA as well.
Not only with the hope of improvement, but to carry on the tradition as well ![]()

This!
Speaking of which...who would you cast?
Hmmm, tough.
I can't really come up with a VA atm who I think could voice her perfectly. I think anything will really be an improvement ![]()
Who do you have in mind?
Wow, I love her hair! She looks great, although her face seems a bit too young and girlish in the lower pictures. I hope that it looks more like the first pic when animated. I'm not too sure about the boots, though. They look nice, but they're so long and the heels make it a bit too much a combination of Miranda and Isabela. The rest of the outfit is nice.

I really liked Jaimi Barbakoff (english W2 Triss). For me it was a huge improvement over the first Witcher voice acting. In the first game they sounded like they were reading and in the second it sounded a lot more natural. I think she did a wonderful job.
But to each there own. I know the right voice actor or actress can make people love or hate a character and I really don't think I would have liked Mass Effect's Jack half as much as I did if not for the wonderful work Courtenay Taylor did. And I don't think anyone would have enjoyed Varric in DA2 if not for Brian Bloom. For all the hate DA2 got Varric was one of the few things people who admitted to hating the game said they liked.
Found Saskia's VA to be worse than TW2 Triss'.
So, how do you think Geralt will react once reunited with Yennefer?

I think that depends on how you play him and how YOU choose to react.
Me? I'll probably ditch Triss and go for Yenn. Yenn is Geralt's true waifu. ![]()
Will stick with Triss, not because I care much about her but I like the notion of Geralt dumping his true love for her best friend.

I'm trying to picture Triss' reaction and OH MAN THE IMAGERY

Like a star struck schoolboy, if the novels are any indication. Yen is a very complex character who exposes the most vulnerable parts of Geralt. I still dither on whether Sapkowski's messy treatment on their relationship should be in the game. By contrast, Triss in the games, is a saint.

Their messy relationship is part of what makes the books great(and by extension Yen).
Love/hate relationships are up there with tragic ones as the best romances in fiction.

Dumbfounded, I suspect.
Like he said in TW2, "And Yennefer...I'll only know what to do with her once I see her."
Yen looks quite different on those screenshots than she did in the E3 trailer.
And this is why we can't have nice things:

I play on the PS so I didn`t get the chance to play the other Witcher games but I love the look of Witcher 3 . My question is can I play 3 with out playing the others ? Or will it make no sense to me ?

Well, developers insist that new players will learn the ropes of the world just fine in terms of gameplay and lore. They plan to make the story stand on its own.
But still, It is a shame if you cant play at least WItcher 2 because it has amazing story and lots of choices that can be imported mass effect-style to the third (after all, witcher 3 is set about six months after events of the previous game).
All in all it is certainly not mandatory to play WItcher 1 and 2 before the third installment but you certainly get more out of the characters and the world when you have the previous adventures of Geralt under your belt
