Choosing becomes irrelevant if character X always leaves Velen at the end of Act One, leaving murderous thugs in charge.

Holy cripes, what's the expected level you're supposed to be in the endgame? I got my hands on a schematic for a level 42 sword. And I'm still level 11 after nearly 19 hours of play. I'm beginning to think 200 hours of content is no idle boast.

The level cap is 70 i believe and it will be raised to a 100 with the expansions. But most reviewers were 35 - 40 when they beat the game, but then again they had time limit etc. I am level 19 now and i have played for atleast 40 hours. So it takes some time, not all effective playing ofc and some afk.

So what level of beardage do y'all keep on your Geralt? I stick with maximum beard. For maximum sexy.

I shaved his beard recently. Am expecting it to grow back. Will it? Or is facial hair permanent if you go to a barber? I quite liked the natural growth.

I'm surprised with how often we can refuse arewreward when it was unthinkable in previous games.
One wonders if it's meant to illustrate Geralt's changing mentality and is hinting at anos ending where he can hang up the swords and live in peace.

Wow refusing Yen and putting her in the friendzone actually stung more than i had thought. Great character overall, but i just don't like her sort of. I think its like with Morrigan, aquired taste. The first time i played DA:O i detested Morrigan and wanted her gone, now she my favourite character.

I've been trying to avoid this thread because of spoilers, but I need help from people who've played far enough!

 

So I imported a Iorveth save. I hear that you don't meet Iorveth in the game, but you meet Roche. My question is: will Roche's reaction to Geralt be any different if I keep using the Iorveth save? Like, will he be just as friendly? And won't he lock Geralt out of his personal mission if I'm using a Iorveth save?

 

I'm not a fan of replaying from the very start and here goes hoping I won't have to

Anyone here know how long it generally takes for the beard to grow to "next stage"? Gonna have to check whether the beard grows, otherwise I'm gonna delete that DLC.

Don't know specifically how long. But I can confirm beard growth doesnt stop.

Unless its bugged for me or Snook.

I see. Well gonna have to experiment. By having Geralt stand still and doing nothing while I just closely inspect for any changes, no less.

Though my guess would be it changes in 24h game hours.

Decided to be a lazy ass and look at the internet instead.

Three stages when it comes to beard (clean shaven, stubble or full beard), which changes every in-game day. Though didn't find anything on beard stop growing after DLC. Probably a bug on Snook's part (or so I hope).

Yeah, because I remember choosing the trimmed beard option, which changed into a full beard after a while.
