Hmmm...I was sure my Geralt had a thing with Ves in the import I loaded, but she doesn't seem to have much acknowledgement for that. Is she supposed to?

And, uh...it's good to see Broche is just as much of a hardass as ever. :S

Though didn't find anything on beard stop growing after DLC. Probably a bug on Snook's part (or so I hope).

Possibly. I'm just remembering some FAQ CDPR posted somewhere, saying the DLC would give you control of the beard growth...might be remembering things though.

Oh yeah, and here's the game with the enhanced graphics in the INI files. Looking much more like the pre-release footage.

I had forgotten how terrible Letho's voice actor was.

Letho is voiced by Shagga.

He is a decent actor. The monotone with Letho is intentional, because lorewise the process of turning people into Witchers diminishes their emotions. (they are supposed to be completely devoid of emotion, but we know from Geralt that it isn't entirely true)

I'd love to see him voice a bad@ss Qunari or Avvar companion in the Dragon Age series, as long it's not some lamo like the Iron Bull.

Nothing happend with me either. I also would like to know where it was said that Triss would be mad at Geralt if he slept with Ves.

Because absolutely nothing happend between Triss and Geralt. Unless said person thought the break-up was caused by that.

Yeah, because I remember choosing the trimmed beard option, which changed into a full beard after a while.

Same, heck the beard grow quite fast and unless I end up going with the full beard I'm going to have to keep a barber in my pocket

It's the accent that bothers me the most.

Uh... sorry to disappoint you guys, but 95% of the changes vs vanilla in these shots is thanks to SweetFX/Reshade + sharpening filter

I shaved his beard recently. Am expecting it to grow back. Will it? Or is facial hair permanent if you go to a barber? I quite liked the natural growth.

It will grow back even with the DLC installed.

Dynamic Beard Growth is the most important advancement of this generation of video games, hands down.

Yeap. The Crones' quests are intense but Novigrad's one are intense in a different way. Cat & mouse game kind of intensity. Lots of plots and manipulation and schemes and backstabbing. Then there are quests where you have to follow a thief, participate in a play, fight while just wearing a towel....Just so freaking good !

Reminds me of a certain game which was supposed to have a certain city that embodies these qualities but had an epic fail with that.

Is there any way to store your items outside of your inventory? I've just found the schematics and crafted the Griffin School Witcher gear, and since they're upgradeable, I'd like to keep them around, perhaps for the entire game for all I know. But I'd also like to try some different armors as I come across them, and it seems a bit unpractical to have several sets of armor in your inventory since there's a limit to how much you can carry.

If there's no storage, is there some way to greatly increase the weight that Geralt can haul around? I've thus far just found the Temerian saddlebags from the merchant in White Orchard.

Simply Put, one of the greatest games I've ever played. And, I'm only in Act 2 and Preparing for a certain battle at a certain place with a very, very powerful enemy on the horizon. I've played 44 hours thus far, level 23, done maybe 10 percent of the side quests, maybe 15 Percent of the Contracts and........ I have 44 hours and I'm not even through Act 2 yet, not even close...... Pretty stellar, and "bang for your buck". And....I love the combat system. Many people say it's "dumbed down" but.... They must be playing on Normal or Easy, I'm playing on the 2nd hardest, and it is CHALLENGING, even for a seasoned action gamer as my self. It's not easy. You will die. Lots. I think this game is easily 150 hours on higher difficulties. Maybe more. Depends. It's so vast and sweeping in scope, that I think there are tons of more places yet to be discovered and probably won't be for weeks and weeks to come.

Thus far, it's a 10/10. And I don't think it will drop in quality. Probably get better as every Main Quest has gotten better and better than the last one. Just astonishing really.

I am almost done with the game, i can feel it. After the Skellige part i found no reason to stop and do other stuff than the mainquest. Its incredibly well done and i feel the urge to continue, but the end is near. Small break before i finish up. The open world grew on me, but still it detracts to much from the story. In games like Skyrim etc the story isn't as important or well written as this, so you are more of an explorer, didn't feel it fit this game that well. Atleast not on what i want from the game, then again i am gonna play it more than once.

This game is plain awesome. <3

Its like skyrim with combat system, plot and characters. B)

I never played witcher games before and still i could get easily into it. :wizard:

Setting is believable and coherent, like the combat system, beautiful, good and interesting characters and quests. Soundtrack is perfect expecially with dac + sennheiser hd598. Now i just need to wait until new radeon get released so i can increase resolution and graphics.

Im still in valeria, even i have played from the release day from morning to night everyday. So big game, still good quests.

But im worried that fo4 might feel crap after this, because w3 showed us that you can make beautiful open world game with good coherent story with good combat.

Im happy, i got really bored into fantasy games, but witcher 3 returned my interest into it again. :)  dai and skyrim feels complete turd compared to this game.

From me this game gets 10/10

Finished the Novigrad mainstory and well... what to say......It's different from Velen but they managed to keep it's very high quality. So far this game has the best written story I have experienced in my 18-years gaming life. I especially like that CDP reminded me that games can be emotional.

Btw, is it me or is this the darkest and grittiest Witcher game so far? I mean in comparison to Dragon Age the Witcher world was always rough but this time there are so many disturbung and cruel stories, that it's a relief to get a lighthearted moment from time to time.

CDPR has always done this. Offer a bit of subtle humor or a glimmer of hope in a crap world. That's what keeps it from being too oppressive imo.

That and the people Geralt has around him is the only reason i can actually play the game and enjoy it so much. I have never been a fan of dark fantasy worlds that are so unfair and brutal. I like a good adventure. I dislike Game of Thrones so much and i don't understand the fad, even read the first 2 books of the saga and its just to dark for me. Brings me down. I am glad that CD Projekt Red has seen the importance of that warmth and understanding around Geralt.
