Geralt looked like he was about to cry. ![]()
Anyone of you tried city parkour yet? One of the mechanics I'm looking forward the most. Any RPG without ledge climbing possibility will feel limited after this.
Decided to lower the difficulty and finish this main story. Still got a little bit further to go. The story in this game has been so damn good. Ciri and Yennifer just continue to impress me. I am really liking both of them and their character development throughout this game. When I do the next playthrough which I will do everything possible that I can. I will go with Yennifer as the romance.

One of my absolutely favourite moments in the game.

Yes. That moment was fantastic.
Question to everybody who finished the game, how long did it take? I´m 42 hrs in and just arrived at Novigrad.

I'm still in progress and I have no idea what my playtime is.
Anyone know if there's a way to check on console?
Anyway, since Geralt's facial hair hasn't been growing I decided to head back to the Oxenfurt barber. Gave him the ponytail and slightly grown in beard. He looks awesome.
Oh you have the same problem as well, Prince? Rather interesting, since the beard does grow for me yet I have the DLC installed.
Facial hair grew into the full beard naturally at the beginning of the game. Then I installed the DLC, found a barber in Oxenfurt, and got the full trim. It never grew past being clean shaven. *shrugs*
I have 53 hours clocked in and I think I'm almost done the main story, and have not touched majority of the side quest either. The main story it self has alot of content, unlike a certain CRPG last year....
/looking at you DAI
The Witcher 3 makes me want more out of future DA titles. Not saying DA isn't fun because it certainly is, but damn there is much more enjoyment coming from the cinematography in TW3 as opposed to the lack of cutscenes in Inquisition.
DAI was good, but TW3 is just on another level altogether.
It's like comparing a cheese burger to a high quality piece of stake.
I'm 42 hours in and haven't even set foot on Skellige yet. :S
I still feel like there's so much new stuff ahead of me and I actually look forward to doing it. I did actually enjoy DA:I for its merits, but I can't say it was always the same deal for that. IMO, TW3 is just ahead of it in...pretty much everything, honestly.
I have to admit I love the weather effects. I was running around the White Orchard and saw the sky grow dark, then the wind started howling, trees shaking left and right. Kudos, very realistic. ![]()
Loving TW3, though Im wondering is it his beard that just grows or is it his hair upon his head too? When I first got my beard trimmed and then saw his facial hair in a cutscene I was like 'wtf, its alive!"
I've spent the day playing Witcher 3 and im impressed, Combat isn't my favorite aspect of the game but im managing on normal, had my share of deaths starting out. Some of the things about this developers game design methods certainly strike me as interesting, such as leveling. In most RPGs the early levels are gained fast, before you know it you're level 4 or 5 and its only been a hour, in Witcher 3 i've only got to level 2 maybe 2 or so hours ago, right before i fought the Griffon, in other words leveling isn't some quick ordeal obtained by simply running into a hard area and cheaply kiting the enemy to death, it actually took some effort, a lot of effort, not sure how i feel about that. Some might say or you didn't just run through the main objective quest for large exp rewards? no i didn't i explored a bit, took on a few second jobs stumbled on to things it was nice..
the strongest argument for this game is its visuals.. WOW! Everything looks freaking awesome, the animators did a great job on the characters movements, as well as the monsters and animals, i was noticing Yennifers horses gallop, it actually looked like its real end was rising and falling with the proper strides. not just magically striding like in some games they try to use mounts. I have a pretty high end game rig right now everything is on max settings and the game looks dazzling.
I am not disappointed with the music or sound but i admit i wasn't really paying much attention to it, especially in combat where im more concerned about being jumped by multiple combatants and praying i parry or riposte in time. Using signs is a bit more easier than i remember from Witcher 2, same with using other items in combat but i gave up on Witcher 2 early on so i don't remember much or if it were similar.
Also the fashion, Geralt can certainly get his hands on some fine looking outfits, and the npc's have some pretty nifty wardrobe pieces too. The game definitely pleases me to a great deal though i think i've missed so much of the over all story for not having played the previous games and in the case of Witcher 2 not completing it.
tbh this game has by far my favourite combat music I've ever heard in a game. So adrenaline-pumping.
Fighting that first werewolf I encountered to this was so badass.

I don't think the hair grows along with the beard. Though I haven't really cut it, I've always liked Geralt's default do.
I didn't like DA:I so much. Thought it was my standards getting ahead of me. But the Witcher 3 is just. So. Fuggin'. ABSORBING. I played it consistently over the past few days (clocked in approximately 70 hours).
It's quite embarrassing how Inquisition has the idea of gathering allies to form big armies yet in the Witcher 3 gathering a few friends and blokes together (Roche, Letho, Eskel, Lambert, etc) felt much more bigger in every way.
While the game does not ride on emotional drama and more on intrigue, they sure know how to pull off gut-punches and kicking in a mini-depression. Like (SERIOUS SPOILERS)
The music is also absolutely fantastic. It compliments the rhythm style combat very well. Even though you are virtually limited to just 1 class (Witcher, duh) with minor specializations, the combat feels very varied.
If anyone else finished the game, please do reply to me and tell me what ending you got (if there are multiple endings).

Tell me about it. I guess I am lucky that I got the good ending. I honestly was a bit clueless once things started to get more complex.
