Yes it def does. This was something I picked up on. They were giving a lot of choices to basically either keep babying Ciri or finally let her start handling her own fights. Any chance I got to tell her to f'authority so to speak I gave it to her. I notice she became more happier in the process.

I was worried I was spoiling her. But I thought it would be something Geralt would do so I did almost everything she asked him to do. Glad to see her alive and well in the end

I have a question about the quests level requirements etc. I skipped alot of side-content the last hours because i wasn't that invested, so some quest are now greyed out. Will i still get xp for doing them? I wanna go back and play abit of Gwent and mop up some quests. Also do you know where to buy the respecc potion?

So how much do the choices in TW2 affect TW3? Will the world be significantly changed if you chose to save Saskia/anais instead of Triss? Or if you chose to spare Henselt instead of opening up his chest?

In terms of politics i don't think there is much.

Radovid assaults Kaedween and conquers it, Henselt gets killed in the process if Roche didn't do it.

Radovid declares the Witch Hunt (genocide on mages) although it's not as catastrophic if Triss gets saved and puts the blame on Lodge in TW2.

Roche treats Geralt as a friend immediately when they meet in TW3 if you went to save Anais with him. I haven't seen Saskia and Iorveth. Philipa appears and her role is pretty important but i imported Roche save so i can't really say what stuff i missed.

 

It's not much but a lot of characters return if they didn't die in previous games and many of them have important roles like: Letho, Sile, Thaler

Just a hint: there's a story related to a wraith in one of the isles. One of the hardest contracts on many levels.

Finally finished this emotional rollercoaster of a game. It's been a while since a game hooked me emotionally like The Witcher III did. A lot of laughs and tears of joy and sadness. Anyway, I have no doubt CDPR will "canonize" the ending in which:

Ciri begins to truly walk the Path, assuming she's the protagonist going forward and not a customized character.

 

Also, I really wish there was a superior/masterwork version of the Warrior's Leather Jacket, which I believe to be the best looking piece of armor in the game. If there is, someone needs to let me know. I kept that armor for the entire game just to equip it for cutscenes.

Yup. But on harder difficulties I had to depend on griffon school armor. It actually looks somewhat similar to Vesemir's armor.

This game is chock full of references. There are references to Game of Thrones, to Lord of the Rings, to DRM and more. I would not be surprised to find a Lynch reference as well.

Yup Geralt told Ciri.

 

And if anyone is interested, the story of first encounter between Geralt and Yenn is named "The Last Wish". It kind of involves a Dijnn in bottle, lovely dandelion etc.

It is awfully funny.

I actually just call him Broche all the time. He is just so awesome.

 

I would love to play a game where I get to have Broche, Garrus Vakarian and Teldryn Sero as comrade / squadmates. The bro-ness level will be through the roof.

Radovid is still a nutter. He's got a grudge against Phillipa and people in general don't like mages. As Geralt stated: they needed a scapegoat.

 

The writers did a great job illustrating just how psychotic Radovid has become. I don't want to spoil the specifics, but there's an exchange between Radovid and Geralt detailing how Radovid disposed of people in horrific fashion, and Radovid is incredibly matter-of-fact about it, like it has become part of his daily routine. You can even see it in his facial expressions.
