The writers did a great job illustrating just how psychotic Radovid has become. I don't want to spoil the specifics, but there's a exchange between Radovid and Geralt detailing how Radovid disposed of people in horrific fashion, and Radovid is incredibly matter-of-fact about it, like it has become part of his daily routine.

 

I look at Radovid in this game and his arc across the three games...and think to myself...This is how the Illusive Man should have been portrayed...Slowly losing his mind and going full retard...Not making a massive jump of it in mere 6 months...

Update on facial hair growth-

 

Earlier I mentioned that after getting Geralt clean shaven, his facial hair didn't grow back. This was true. Well I went to the barber while playing yesterday and gave him the ponytail and the trimmed facial hair choice. Just now out in the field his facial hair has grown out to its maximum length, so apparently with the DLC facial hair does in fact grow. It might depend on what choices have been made at the barber but I'm not quite sure.

I think beard grows as days pass. Reaching certain parts of the story also seems to trigger a phase of beard-hood.

You have to love Yen. She just woke up from her sleep, comes in there in her smallclothes, asks coolly what happened and orders Geralt back to bed. 

I have to ask. What happens in this scene if you romance Triss instead of Yen? I'm asking, cuz Triss > Yen. Even tho I read books.

I got the same scene and i romanced Triss. I think its more based on whats happening in the keep at that time and her beeing sort of a mom about it.

The field of Ard Skellig is my favorite track in the game. It's just sooo ficken beautiful and peaceful.

All of them are really great. Even the song that plays during Gwent. Glad to see the continue this trend from Witcher 2. Flotsam had a really quaint, soothing soundtrack.

Music is AMAZING! Somehow I really dig that slavic style, the female voices etc. Probably the best soundtrack for a game (or movie as well) I heard for a long while

 

Especially the battle music and the ladies of the wood-theme, most awesome ... and if one is interested, here the original tracks they are based on, by Percival

Aye, TW3 has its fair share of solid tracks. It is not often in games that I actually stop what I am doing and just simply listen to the tunes.

The game also has some tracks for previous games, though bit modified. Got a very nostalgic feeling when one certain track from TW2 (name elludes me currently) that played with Letho, which so happened to be one of my favorites.

And finally got to Novigrad and had the fortune of meeting Triss.

Well I am glad Geralt had the opportunity to reflect briefly upon her character and the struggle she has gone through, in addition to how it reflects upon their relationship now that Geralt has his memories. Always wondered how they would stand with each other, and looking forward to see how it progresses.

It is quite interesting to see how differently he behaves with Triss; wherein Geralt carries a very carefree attitude when he is with her. His snark is more joyous in mannerism, and he smiles considerably more. Goes quite nicely with how 'warm' Triss is designd, with her red hair and colorful outfit, in contrast to Yenn who is more directed and carries darker colors, but manages to be very serene and sincere when it truly matters.

Yup, gonna be hard choosing between the two.

I don't like this at all. Definitely not after how Radovid has been portrayed in both games.

Well gonna see for myself how it is handled, since I'm hardly in a position to judge.

There's one that plays when you meet Roche in his camp too, that seems to be a mixed up version of this.
