I'd recommend getting the Ursine Armour and just keep upgrading it. That set is smexy.
I'm doing it and it's looking more and more awesome by the day

You can find a whole walkthrough on YT regarding the Ursine set.
I'm avoiding YT like the plague after getting some fairly huge ending spoilers dropped on me right on the front page a few days back, since YT figured I really wanted to see that when I've only just recently gotten to Novigrad.
That Ursine armor is incredible.
Word of advice, DO all the side quests. I did a lot of them, then got swept up into the main story and forgot about them. Now I finished the game. Skellige's side quests just went un-did for the most part.
Spoiler tagged to tidy up post.

I just wow. That was my Game of the Year right there, and rightly so. I can only describe it as a really good book that no matter how many times I've read it, as soon as I close that last page, its back to the start.
Now, I'm going to do the side quests, take my time, defeat everyone at Gwent, and so forth. I have to make sure Keira is alive this playthrough lol.
A couple of things:
1: Can Triss be found anywhere at Kaer Morhen? I couldn't find her at all.
2: I didn't do Yennefer's "The Last Wish" quest, because I know it ties into a romance. Can I do the quest and still turn her down? Heck, I mainly turned it down because the last time a Djiin was involved, Yennefer spell trapped Geralt to give up the information, then mind controlled him to take care of a few things. Wasn't going to forget that anytime soon!
I guess DOING the quest is required to completely turn her down or something, but I'll have a look this time round.
Also Ezkel, Lambet and Geralt getting drunk trumps every other party moment I've experienced in a game so far. That was just so good, my eyes were watering.
Really hope the romance stuff continues through DLC, but I guess as this is the Devs FIRST time handling actual DLC - no short of true expansions, it'll be a wait and see. I just want more Triss.
1: Not before a certain point in the story. i am so saving her personal quest a little longer this time. I ran around at Skellige screaming for more Triss.
2: Yes you can do the quest without getting locked in a romance, but you do have to turn her down.
I'm getting pretty annoyed by Yennefer and how Geralt talks to her after locking a romance with Triss. I read the books, but I never liked Yennefer and it didn't change in game either. I get it, it's Geralt's old love, but come on. Why is he flirting with her in almost every conversation when I chose Triss? I can't even control what he says at this point. Option 1: flirt. Option 2: Seems flirt free. Oh, wait. No.
This is really annoying. For two games we had Triss and now game is literally trying to push me into romancing Yen.
And now I found out that
I felt forced into that relationship and don't really care for her, guess i'm stuck now, it was really irritating though

That is one of my main problems with the game. Yennefer even proceed to kiss you a few times in the game even if you don't have any interest in it. This is where you put in conversation option to kiss her or just turn away and then deal with the conversation. Also you can't tell her that you are still with Triss or anything like that, you have to play both the relationships out and then deal with the acceptance or rejection. I am guessing this is done so that you can play the i love you card with both women, but still annoying. Like some say above i don't know the books and Yennefer, i thought she was a good character, but not any romance option for me.
Also miss that you can't talk more to your companions, yes they had alot of dialogue throughout their quest, but when they are just standing still someplace between quests there aren't alot of conversation to exhaust. Even Zoltan and Dandelion had to little screentime, which was unfornate. Hopefully they can be with Geralt in one of the expansions or something like that.
haha, Yennefer got pissed and teleported me into a sea after I answered "It just happened" when she asked me why I slept with Triss. There is so much tension between Geralt and her after I refused to kiss her during the Last Wish quest....
Apparently you can pick up Triss's earring from the broken bed bits and give it back to her. Huh, I can't believe I missed that detail.
Still trying to find out online WHERE she is at Kaer Morhen. I could find Ezkel and Lambert, Roche and Ves, Letho, but Triss is a mystery.
New game time though! So now I can finally do it all, collect and beat all Gwent players, fist fight my way to glory, and horse race.
Triss is just a diamond. I loved it when she casts the spell on the fountain and the first image that appears is the house she wants them to live at. Made me giddy and it was quite cute poking her for details about it lol.
I also feel bad for breaking Djikstra's other foot haha! But it made me chuckle.
I love the interaction between Geralt and Dijkstra in this game. Dijkstra's kind of a dick but the snark between him and Geralt in every conversation is great. So far he's one of my favorite NPCs in the game.
Yup, I do believe they dropped the ball not letting you clear the air with Yen about Triss right off the bat.
Gosh, Philippa Eilhart is really an relationship expert.
PE: " Couldn't help notcie the tension between you and Yennefer and Triss. It's very hard on Ciri, I think. Tirss plays the big sister to Ciri, but eagerly awaits a chance to hop in bed with you. You and Yenn play the parents."
Geralt:" Yeah, so if you're angling to make it a fivesome, there's clearly no room."
Yay, shitty RPG wars. These always end well.
Don't they.
I'm also enjoying the Witcher forums where most of the threads are about how much TW3 sucks
and how CDPR are lying lazy console sell-outs... ![]()
DAI and TW3 are demonstrably both good games with pros and cons according to personal taste.
Beyond that, particular 'hate' of either says more about the individual poster's preferences than the game.
*snip*
This is just so true with me. Give me all your cards!
Regarding some of your frustrations with Geralt/Yenn, folks(not really a spoiler but I'll tag it anyway)-

Yeah i can see that, its more my way of getting the character to be mine. I am used to playing rpg's where i create the character. And after 3 games with Geralt i am finally there where i feel i have control on what he is doing and how he is feeling. Call it reaching far into it, but thats how i roleplay. I do understand that needed the spark to be there between him and Yennefer, also that they needed to resolve their relationship. I just feel like they could have given us a bit more control in a few situations in the game.
Don't forget Yen tried to seduce one of Letho's companions when she was "amnesiac".

But I think you forgot that not everyone read the books. I did, but I know many people that didn't and yet they play Witcher. First: Game is not a legitimate sequel to the books. Even Sapkowski said it and we shouldn't treat it like one. They introduced Yennefer only now and some people keep wondering who she even is. Game is for everyone, not only for the people that read books so we also should have more control of what Geralt can say to Yennefer. Forcing us into relationship we don't want is pretty lame. If they wanted us to romance Yen so badly CD Projekt shouldn't given us the option to have Triss. This is not fair for Triss fans, because it's obviously CD projekt treated everything like everyone wants to be with Yen.

I didn't read the books. I still know Yennefer is Geralt's actual romantic partner for life. The game offers the chance to escape that with a familiar face from the first two games but the narrative won't ignore their connection for it and thats good. Games cater to gamers at the expense of their narratives far too often these days and its great that CDPR didn't think that they needn't keep Geralt and Yenn showing their relationship throughout the game just because some people don't know her.
And there's the wordage again, "Forcing us into a relationship we didn't want" and "like everyone wants to be with Yen".
Its not about us, we, or everyone;its about Geralt and what Geralt wants. And the fact of the matter is Geralt wants Yenn. Or at the very least has wanted her for a long time now.
CDproject Red holds utmost respect to the TW books series. Yenn is crucial not only for Geralt but also indispensable for Ciri as well. She is the source of Ciri's determination as well as independent (or rebelling) character. Triss is Ciri's big sister. Hence father dumps mother than sleep with sister will be devastating fro Ciri.
Hence, Yenn all the way!
Priscilla's song is so heart melting. Guess who's relationship she is singing. ![]()
P.S. French version is the best!

Not exactly. Geralt is a prewritten character for sure and he cares about Yenn, but it is we the players who choose s to what extent. It has been two years, and he may have moved on. Yen hasn't, she doesn't want to, but we get to choose if we think so.
Aye. But some of it will always be there, is my point. Can't get past that. This isn't Dragon Age, this The Witcher. Geralt will always have his own opinions that a player cannot and will not alter past a certain degree.
