I agree.
Besides, his feelings for Yen shouldn't go away based on player's choice. Their love for each Other is something that existed before we could control Geralt. While we can direct Geralt towards a different path (Which I'm thankful about), it wouldn't feel right if the player have the option to dismiss completely their relationship. The games aren't canon, but the books Are for the games.
I didn't want write another post about it, but just a quick note. I didn't say his feelings towards Yennefer should go away, no. I just wanted to have a little more control over it. That's it. ![]()

I understand this. My post wasn't specifically related to yours, but to What I viewed in certain discussions. I should've been more clear.

Hey guys,
I've got a quick question: how much, if any, control do we have in regards to the hero's personality this time? Because I have to admit, I've tried playing the witcher 2, but stopped pretty quickly because who I had to be annoyed the hell out of me, enough to drop the game wishing I could play someone else, almost anyone else would have been better.
I've also heard that you could control a female character? Is that true? I might give it a try just for that if true.
You can always play the game with different dubbing. I play on polish dubb and Geralt there is AMAZING. I couldn't honestly listen to english Geralt. Terrible and it's like two different characters. It'll be certainly foreign to you, but give it a try
It's polish game after all.

I'm actually very impressed by how much the english Geralt voice actor has improved. The drinking scene was a thing of beauty.

Yeah, he's certainly better than in TW2. But I'm jelly of english Ciri... Fem!Hawke was a damn fine choice for her.

Yenn is far more than just a love interest for Geralt, she shares the same cursed fate (infertile) as Geralt (became witcher) but she never gives in her fate but fights on (again same as Geralt). In the book series, only the girls with born defects will be send to magical school to become sorceress. In the "Last Wish" story Geralt didn't make his 3rd wish to have Yenn because her appearance who she really is underneath. Ciri (blood of elves),Geralt and Yenn share similar tragical destinies but they also share similar determinations and spirits in fighting such destinies and choosing their own paths. Their small "family" is almost a symbol of hope in the grim and unforgiving world of Witcher series. I almost cried like a baby during their reunion scene(Apologies for spoiler). Their bonding are far more than just romantic.
Witcher 3 not only concludes the PC trilogy also brings amazing closure for lots fans of book series as well. It is truelly an wonderful closure for the White Wolf!

Yep, Mr. Rozenek is much easier on the ears for me than Cockle is.
Playing it with Polish voices is how the game is meant to be played too really. ![]()

Can someone inform me what was actually taken from the novels in the Witcher 3's story? Are there actually any original characters in the Witcher 3, and is there any originality to the storyline in the game trilogy?
OBS: I still have not beaten the game nor have I even been to Skellige Isles yet, so bear that in mind.

Most of Witcher 1 and all of TW 2&3's stories are original. The trilogy of TW games are almost like CDprojekt Red's version of witcher saga. But they did amazing job in keeping original character's background and characteristics intact especially TW3. If you haven't read any books you could still enjoy the **** out of TW3. But if you do read the books then you will understand further about the interaction between Yenn, Geralt and Ciri. They put alots detail in recreating characters from book into TW3 (e.g. the rose tattoo on Ciri's thigh, the conversation between Yenn and Geralt in "the Last Wish" quest etc.). It is really heart warming to see these developers show utmost respects for book series.

There's plenty of original characters in the game, it's just because of where we are in this game and what the plot is resolving around, alot of past characters(from the books and games) have a bigger impact.
The Witcher trilogy is CDPs take on what happens after the books.

Eh I'll give you that in the first witcher(but lets face it, in the first game, majority of the english acting was ****) but in TW2 and TW3 he has gotten alot better(same with the english casting)

TW3 really feels like a true sequel to the books to me. TW1 and 2 technically were too, but TW3 really feels like it's bringing things to a close from the past two games AND the novels. Probably why this has been such an emotional rollercoaster.
Yup, I will admit the big reason TW3 is my fav game in the trilogy is because so many of my favorite characters from the books show up, and it brings true closure.

Reason why I love the franchise so much is the world, multidimensional characters, and its portrayal on thematic political struggles which is unrivaled as far as games go (even defeats major medieval fantasy series like ASoIaF regarding this that I've read), which is something that I am a huge fan off.
And a multitude of other factors, but these are the primary ones. ![]()

So there COULD be more content after the 2 DLC's in the Expansion.
The Devs have said they aren't going to talk about Cyberpunk until 2017.
CD Projekt Red, developer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has said it isn't planning to talk about its next game, Cyberpunk 2077, until 2017 at the earliest.Speaking to Reuters, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski said he expects Cyberpunk 2077 to be a bigger commercial success than The Witcher 3, and added that the company doesn't plan to offer more information on the game for a while yet.
"We hope and we are certain that Cyberpunk has even bigger commercial potential," he said. "It is too early to talk about it, though."
"This year, and the next one will be the years of the Witcher," he added.
I mean its a grain of salt, but one of the 2 DLC's is out at the end of this year, the other the first part of next year. So hopefully that means more content.
Plus, what I'd give to have some content with Geralt and Triss living together and dealing with a dilemma with the King she's advising. That would be so good. And then something for Geralt and Yennefer obviously.
Its quite saddening, because it hits me that this is the end of Geralt's story. I love that Witcher so much. I might go back and play the first one, after now experiencing the trilogy, I'm sure I'll have a different mindset with it.

Oh, I know, because I heard quite a bit of english dub. The problem is just Geralt. I'm really not a fan of his voice. If it was different I would gladly play on english dubbing.
Anyway, I still have a question about Triss' quest. Plz halp.

I would love to see Geralt and Ciri go hunting/adventuring together then got scolding from Yenn. Family time beats everything!
Yup it is bitter sweet to say goodbye to Geralt. CDP pls make TW4 !
