One of my fav parts with Geralt is when he interrogates Whoreson Junior. Seeing a truly angry Geralt is just hnnng.

I'm happy that CDP finally brings back the humor back to Geralt, especially when he is hanging out with Ciri.

I'm still disappointed CDP didn't put Ciri welcome into the official ost that came with the game ;_;

Reason why I love the franchise so much is the world, multidimensional characters, and its portrayal on thematic political struggles which is unrivaled as far as games go (even defeats major medieval fantasy series like ASoIaF regarding this that I've read), which is something that I am a huge fan off.

And a multitude of other factors, but these are the primary ones. <3

I'm waiting the hear your impressions on certain aspects in the game regarding politics. I think TW3 does a good job--if not better--on this field, but looking forward what you post.

Indeed, I suspect there will be an "enhanced" edition of OST coming soon.

P.S. on the bright side I finally see Yenn's stuffed unicorn! :P

Will do once I reach a point when I can post something more relevant. How the game brings everything into a conclusion regarding several factors that TW2 build up, in addition to what has been touched upon in this game, is something that I am looking forward to.

You can always play the game with different dubbing. I play on polish dubb and Geralt there is AMAZING. I couldn't honestly listen to english Geralt. Terrible and it's like two different characters. It'll be certainly foreign to you, but give it a try ;)  It's polish game after all.

That's interesting to know, thanks, but I fear that it wouldn't be enough for me to enjoy it. Know that annoying follower that you always leave at camp? That's Geralt for me, and I can't just leave him somewhere, he's everywhere! :P

That's why I bought it thinking that I would enjoy it, despite the fact that it featured yet another white male protagonist and that I've decided to be as reluctant to try them as the developers are to include me in their agenda, unless the story sounds amazing enough not to pass on. Alas, I personally found the main character to be stereotypical, not that it's always a bad thing, but he fit a stereotype I dislike. That's the bad thing about having a set character, it can be amazing when the character is someone you want to play as, but it can be a real repellent if not. So I'm hoping next time, they might let us play a girl, for once, and that the character won't be set in stone. That would be good. For me of course. It's all a matter of preference, obviously ;)

Oh, I did this just an hour ago ... that guy deserved his name, and every bit of geralt was a pleasure...and yeah, if killing Jr. will have bad consequences in the future I don't care, after I saw his leisuretime-activities...

So people, is the open world good in this game? Are the side quest actually fun and full of content? Also is the story good?

I just want these questions answered before I throw money and buy the game.

Shaddup, Novigrad is awesome!

Though that will have to wait. Still in my study period, but it will end soon enough, thank God.

Geralt is quite a phenomenal protagonist actually and someone I love to play as, but I can certainly see your point of view. Wouldn't mind another character, if there are future games. As much as I love Geralt, don't want to see the world through his eyes in every Witcher game.

Though I wouldn't mind if CDPR moves on and lets the franchise rest.

The open world is definitely good. Every location has a purpose. The side quests are fun and full of content with multiple conclusions/end states that have an effect down the line. The story is awesome as well, lots to do, plenty of subtleties, basically this game is absolutely worth it.

I could see myself playing another Witcher, preferably from one of the other schools. Then again all Witchers are men, are they not? Would be cool to play a woman in that universe. But if they decide to be done with the franchise, i would understand. 3 great games have come out of it, more than we get out of most game series.

Okay, I give up :P  You won't change my mind and I won't change yours. I don't like what CD Projekt done with Geralt/Yen relationship even after you lock romance with Triss. Let's leave it like that.

Yes, I agree with you. Geralt should just completely disregard Yennefer existence, even after recovering from his amnesia. It's not like Geralt sacrificed his soul for Yennefer or made a wish for them to always be together or anything.

How about before making comment like that, you'll read my another post where I'm explaining the whole situation?

I read all of your posts. That's just the only one I felt like quoting. If you want to ****** about Geralt and Yennefer's relationship, take it up with Andrzej Sapkowski, not CDPR. Better yet, don't. Their relationship is well established in the Witcher universe, and it's best to accept that fact. You may prefer Triss for Geralt and that's perfectly fine, but being cross with handling of Geralt and Yennefer's relationship is ridiculous.

See, this is actually funny. You're complaining about my complaint. This is forum and I gave my opinion, so what's your problem? You don't like that I don't like relationship between Geralt and Yen? Well then, I can't help you with that. I like TW3 so far, but I won't praise every single detail about it.
Try to understand one thing. I would be perfectly fine with Geralt's dialogues with Yennefer if I wouldn't lock romance with Triss. But after that, dialogues should be a little bit different. It feels like Geralt is a dick, because in one moment he tells Triss that he loves her and in another he flirts with Yen and can do more. ( And he regrets it later, but that's not the point. )
And no, it's not just about Geralt and Yen. I don't like that kind of behaviour in general, so chill out, dude.

It's like I can't tell one bad word about relationship between Geralt and Yen, because it causes a shitstorm. Geez.

For my Geralt, I feel like Junior's fate was sealed right there. :S
