Atleast Eredin didn't dissapoint as a villain like Cory.

Though I wished we had a few more encounters with him.

But he was so Overhyped, I was expecting a tough battle, where I would need to use several potions. In the end he only hit me once, and thats was because he had 1% of life and I wanted to finish him fast .

Just put the difficulty on Death March when fighting him :P

However you make a fair point. He was basically just dodge, slash, dodge.

Gameplay/story segregation. Was no diffrent in TW2 with Letho.

Letho was difficult in Flotsam, but was a cake walk in the final fight, yet in the cutscene Geralt is having issues with Letho.

Eredin felt like a threat throughout the story unlike Cory.

Really? After Kaer Morhen the tension was gone, hadn't it been for all the great Ciri and Geralt moments i would have been very dissapointed with that part of the story. Almost the same problem in DA:I, after Haven it was hard to get that feeling back. The last fight was laughable, at best, Eredin wasn't really a good character either. Few lines, not that well written and not fleshed out. All the same problems as with Cory. May be better for people who've read the books, but i was very dissapointed in The Wild Hunt.

Ciri's charging slash move thingy was basically my saving grace.

I know, but Letho is not the devil incarnated who you keep fleeing the entire game.
He was a good villain, but the fight was disappointing, don't detract anything from the game, but I was expecting more.

To me it was a easy fight too, just killed the fat one and dodged the rest. Died once though.

The most difficult battle to me was the Djinn, the wild hunt frost mage and the Vampire ib the sewers who regenerate (the most difficult, because I didn't had any way to stop his regensration).

See, this is one of those moments where the game just reminds me of DA:I again, and I can't help but compare and usually, Witcher 3 just blows DA:I out of the water. I cringed and laughed farcically. "oh, Bioware, not this silly singing again!" in that Dawn Has Come moment, and here I was like "wow, it's a musical number in a medieval setting, that feels like it's actually inside the setting and not a stage-performance where the actors (characters) step out of their roles to do the animator's bidding"

This moment was golden. I don't know why DA:I was full of pop-singer-bards and a theatrical musical number that breaks all believability. This is how you do it, and it's actually a fairly simple scene in concept anyway.

As much as I like Witcher 3 but ... I have to say that ... The dawn will come had more of an epic impact on me, and is catchier. Priscilla's song is nice and full of references to Geralt's story with Yen, but it didn't really stuck in my ear..Lelianna's little elven song also was catchier, in my opinion at least. Maybe I have to listen to Pris a bit more often...

And, I also have to say that, if forced to choose between Witcher 3 or DAI for what game to take on the famous lonely island? As far as pure "gameplay" I guess I'll take DAI, as it seems to have the bigger replay-value. Geralt is always Geralt, I will play him as a Witcher any time I play the game. At least with DAI I can change my own class, and mix-match my party...

I just wish Bioware would take some more "risks" with their own universe and dare to be more like HBO ^^^and less family-friendly in some regards (though they got a bit better already, if you ask me)

End of devil's advocate mode..

No offense to you, but you are abit biased no? Everytime someone try to bring their opinion and enthusiasm in this thread you shut it down like your opinion trumphs everything. I love this game, but it has flaws, and there are more then people are willing to admit. But such is it with every game. Sorry for beeing rude, but its getting tiresome. So now i will go vent and kill some drowners.

I already agreed that Eredin was a weak final boss, what I do disagree with is that he was the same as Cory in terms of writing and I backed it up with in-game content.

Ciri's Blink might be my favorite video game ability in quite a while. It just looks so damn cool.

I think the big problem with Dawn will come is the believability. It's a great song, but it's placement and how it was done was very glaring. If it had been put in a better spot I do think it would have been better received.

There's a reason Vesemir is the patron of the School of the Wolf and the man who taught the greatest swordsman in the world pretty much everything he knows. Vesemir is a bad dude.

Snookie got to it before I did, but I'm too lazy to edit any further.
