Logged around 85 hours on first play through. I believe I did most of the treasure hunts, contracts and the side quests apart from some bits and pieces that popped up when I had initially explored an area (no i don't really want to do a side quest while in the middle of the main story line, nearing the end of the game itself, looking at you Novigrad). Think I will take a break for a while, or even until the DLC is released.
Overall impression: I enjoyed it so much I could not put it down for nearly a whole week, was just lucky I didn't need to do anything in real life
Story was excellent. Only have a couple of gripes; the combat, I found it difficult to parry enemies on the PC version, dont know how it is for consoles. The characters and plot; nothing wrong with them, only that I am not very familiar with the Witcher's lore, having only played a small percentage of the Wicther 2 so I was slightly unsure what exactly was occurring at times, and who meant what to Geralt. Decided to go with the Yen romance since it seemed cannon (could be wrong of course.) and some of the UI elements were a bit tricky; such as trying to loot when swimming. Other then that, I can happily call it my new favorite game.
So my question is now, should I read the books? Not heard much about them other than their origin and author. Are they translated well?
