Oh, my goodness. It's like the horse version of the ME Mako..."Eff terrain! I'm the Roach!"

Anyway, I haven't gone through this thread too much because I'm still playing and don't want spoilers. But I gotta say, Guddam! this game is amazing! So emotional. Such great Story even in the side missions. Excruciating choices......deep breath...there's one story choice that just haunts me. It is actively haunting me throughout this game. ....I..uh..keep thinking I might see "them" or some sign, or something. So, ofc, I think I see "them" everywhere. My heart will actually leap for a moment, then I realize, no, this has nothing to do  with that. omg.

Even small things come up. I helped out some characters in some random encounter. No huge matter, but outta blue when I needed some help over some paperwork stuffs, here  comes this character. And he totally had my back. At first I was like, who the heck are you?" Then he said a quick aside identifying himself. It was pretty cool.

Kick butt game. And I really love seeing the locations change as the game goes on.

The characters are amazing, too. Mind you, I'm no Witcher fan. Never read one book, or played the previous games. I did a bit of W2, but...it didn't grab me.

As big as this game is, there remains a certain tension and tautness about it. Most of this game has me feeling very uneasy. All the time. As it should considering.

Actually, I think I'm gonna get back to it now. Cheers!

Tell me about it. It's the best looking armor and it's bloody useless.

I just carry it around for cutscenes.

Ursine armor indeed looks neat, but I'm not a fan of heavy armor. I prefer light. In every rpg. I'm also actually sad we don't have any cool leather jackets in game, like we had in TW1 and 2. I mean come on. Leather Jackets   Lambert has one and he's still able to kick ass. Then why can't Geralt have one, too?
Most of the armors in game look ugly. Cat armor T1 is nice, but later? Nothing. I guess I'll use heavy armor this time after all.

I think the top tier Cat armor looks boss, with the chain & brigandine combo.

I'm shooting for either that or the Ursine set. Got really tired of the Griffin set after running around in the base version for probably 30 hours or so.

Superior Griffin and Mastercrafter Ursine looks the best to me. I just got my base Ursine crafted and by jove does it already look awesome. A shame that it's got the worst stats, Adrenaline point gain is just not as good as attack power (feline) or Sign intensity (Griffin).

Speaking of griffins, the game does hide some really tough monsters in the far corners of the land. In a small island in Skellige I ran into a huge level ?? Archgriffin when I was level 19. I tried to kill it a few times anyway, to no avail, and my sword barely even dented its health bar anyway.

I tend to think of Geralt as being like a rogue in the DA games so I equip him with light to medium armors.

Medium armor and light armor really just comes down to personal preference. Light armor gives you faster regen, medium gives you extra sign intensity. Armor rating isn't that important (ideally you want to avoid and dodge attacks, not take them like a man).

Man, I just ruined what was to be the most perfect Geralt and Yen romantic moment in part of the Skellige stuff. I had secks with her on her unicorn and then after the little side-quest I had to tell her it was over because I just know everything would've gone to **** as soon as she arrives at Kaer Morhen and realize I also had some ballin' with Triss and Keira.

I wonder if anyone will even figure out I had a fling with Keira. I just want to fulfill my Trilogy commitment to Triss Merigold because she's teh best.

EDIT: Oh, and that romance theme?

My favorite moment in the game. Favorite not as in a happy one, I feel as I've suffered a body blow in the ending.

With all that talk over how CD Red is forcing people to like Yennefer, you could always rationalize it's the Djinn magic talking.

Anyway, I feel really bad for that Skellige village. They were really good people; which is rarer than unicorns in The Witcher; and we can do nothing but destroy their lives.

I assume that completing the Broken Flowers quest is supposed to grant you (probably a sizeable chunk of) XP? Right after the little concert and following conversation at the inn that leads straight into the next quest? Looks like I've got the bug.

"Listen up lard ass, you're going to accept these humble offerings or i'm going to feed you to the ravens." lol Epic, and it fits with my thoughts since they weren't exactly paying me to confront the bastard, so I saw no reason to actual do any work and kill him. This game is so good.

Geralt's most hilarious burn was with Dandelion, if you have him go off script with the whole Crimson Avenger routine.

The ending really makes you wonder if they will ever see each other again. Like I said before, they really piqued my interest and made me want more.

Really? I find the Griffin armour (at least the base one) an offence against fashion. But I generally hate - with an almost undying passion - any armour that gives any appearance of what amounts to a beer belly.

Was that the quest where they dress up and play with prop swords and Geralt owns him in combat?

Reached that point where I either free the tree spirit or slay it. Gonna weigh my options carefully. People die no matter what I choose anyway.

Look at it this way, why the hell would you free a evil spirit who was bounded and feared by the bloody crones? That's how I made my choice.

Well, if I had it my way I'd slay them too. Doesn't take a genius to know what they'll do to those kids.

Yup. Plus, I did take the job. What kind of a Witcher would I be if I went back on my word?
