Look at it this way, why the hell would you free a evil spirit who was bounded and feared by the bloody crones? That's how I made my choice.

Yeah but I let him live because it was the Crones that told you the spirit was evil. Who says they were telling the truth?

Spoiler

The ending really makes you wonder if they will ever see each other again. Like I said before, they really piqued my interest and made me want more.

I never thought that. I mean in almost every book/game Geralt is dealing with nobles, kings and emperors I just figured it was like an adult daughter leaving for a career and sad they won't spend as much time together, not that they will never see each other.  But maybe I'm viewing that ending wrong?

She is an evil spirit.

Spoiler

There's also the fact that the Crones, who are insanely powerful, FEAR this evil spirit. Releasing evil spirits NEVER works in TW series. Hell we even saw something similar happen with the Pasta at the tower...

Was that the quest where they dress up and play with prop swords and Geralt owns him in combat?

That's the one!

It is one of the responses if you have Geralt not say what Dandelion wanted him to say in the script.

Yeah thought so I remember saying that line, and Geralt almost losing it when the ****** idiot came with a mask on.

I thought the same thing about Geralt's starting armor. Considering it was all over the advertising you'd think that would be the upgradeable Wolf school set.

School of the Wolf is gonna be part of the free dlc.

The files are already ingame, but you get blanks if you get them with the debug console.

Agree with you in Dijkstra being better than Iorveth, disagree in him being better than Roche.

Speaking of Iorveth, its seems he got what he deserved, the bastar* helped Letho to kill Foltest, really wish I could kill him in Witcher 2.

Just picked up the game and... give or take 15 hours in..

It's everything inquisition should have been! :D

Complaints:

Don't really like horse and boat controls.

Geralt sounds like he has emphysema.

I've made basically no progress in the main story in two days since then. :S

I think I stopped playing for a few minutes after all of that happened and just stared at the screen. I didn't know what to do.

Really liked Djikstra in this game. Felt like I actually dealt with a character that could cause some issues for me.

Yeah that was a real punch in the gut. I managed to move on but it required some side quests and hunt for better armor.

Went briefly to Skellige, completed the first of the main missions there and the Drowner contract but then had to go back to Velen because the "?"s and the like were bothering the completionist me.

I've cleared most of Velen now and only have one more "?" hanging about that I can't seem to reach. Tried running up the hill leading to the giant tree but hit an invisible wall. So, I went completely around to the unmarked village populated with high level Foglets that seem to respawn whenever I meditate in the area. It appeared to be a demon worshipping cult of some sort. There's a shrine that's similar to the one Anna had in the bog. Well, there's a massive door that would appear to lead me on the path to the "?" but it's locked and I can't find a key. I'm guessing it's something MQ related or I'm missing something obvious that would lead me to the key.

Have an enchanted sword with around a 25% chance of burning that really helping take higher levelled enemies down pretty easily. Well, the ones susceptible to Igni at least. Felt satisfying to take down that L25 Water Hag.

Only have a couple more contracts in Velen to complete and then I'll go back to Skellige!

Skellige is amazing! Most beautiful scenery and music + Yenn. Nothing can beat that.

P.S. Yenn is such a master of the term "Dear friend"...

The Skellige Isles is my favorite map. I also really liked the story there with Yenn.

It had the right pace and length. As much as I like Novigrad as a city, the story there felt like a drag.

Novigrad should have more quaility  quests with Triss. But Yenn in TW3 is so perfectly developed. I'm enjoying every moment of her interaction with Geralt.

P.S. the funny "Dear Friend" letter to Geralt:

"Dear friend,

Your unexpected letter – which I received not quite three years after we last saw each other – has given me much joy. My joy is all the greater as various rumors have been circulating about your sudden and violent death. It is a good thing that you have decided to disclaim them by writing to me; it is a good thing, too, that you are doing so so soon. From your letter it appears that you have lived a peaceful, wonderfully boring life, devoid of all sensation. These days such a life is a real privilege, dear friend, and I am happy that you have managed to achieve it.

I was touched by the sudden concern which you deigned to show as to my health, dear friend. I hasten with the news that, yes, I now feel well; the period of indisposition is behind me, I have dealt with the difficulties, the description of which I shall not bore you with.

It worries and troubles me very much that the unexpected present you received from Fate brings you worries. Your supposition that this requires professional help is absolutely correct. Although your description of the difficulty – quite understandably – is enigmatic, I am sure I know the Source of the problem. And I agree with your opinion that the help of yet another magician is absolutely necessary. I feel honoured to be the second to whom you turn. What have I done to deserve to be so high on your list?

Rest assured, my dear friend; and if you had the intention of supplicating the help of additional magicians, abandon it because there is no need. I leave without delay, and go to the place which you indicated in an oblique yet, to me, understandable way. It goes without saying that I leave in absolute secrecy and with great caution. I will surmise the nature of the trouble on the spot and will do all that is in my power to calm the gushing source. I shall try, in so doing, not to appear any worse than other ladies to whom you have turned, are turning or usually turn with your supplications. I am, after all, your dear friend. Your valuable friendship is too important to me to disappoint you, dear friend.

Should you, in the next few years, wish to write to me, do not hesitate for a moment. Your letters invariably give me boundless pleasure.

Your friend Yennefer"
