* I didn't read the books. Yen was hyped by the fans, to me she seems cold, dominating and always up to no good, something like Triss in TW1. Prefer Triss in TW2 and TW3 all the way, much softer and likable in those games.
* If graphically comparing to DA:I, in DA:I the enviroments look vastly superior. Everything in TW3 looks brown, gray and swampy green, and no interesting lightning what so ever, mostly crumbling village houses. What does look alot better from DA:I are character models and animations, especially female characters. In DA:I there isn't a single female character that looks as good as Triss, and why the hell Bioware can't make hair like Yen's?
* Ciri is adorable, and her scenes with Gerald are very heart warming. The problem is I can't get the FemHawke voice out of my head.
* Half of Novigrad has Blackwall's voice. What's up with that?
* I liked how the side quest in this game are detailed with story, everything is not what it seems and it's funny how at least half of the monsters the humans are to blame. In DA:I in comparison, for example you have the spirit of command telling you to kill a rage demon, and... that's it? It is a good example how sidequest are handled in DA:I, should be alot more like in The Witcher, which probably leads to my next point.
* The Witcher series has a fixed protagonist, with a fixed personality and a clear job description. He has a small number of close friends which carry over all 3 games, and that CDPR exploited to the fullest (at least for the story, I can't comment on the gameplay because I didn't actually play the game), so it didn't fell into DA:I's trap of being too ambitious. Unless they are willing to completely give up customization, Bioware should not take the general idea from TW games, it will end up as a watered down mishmash of ideas. I think the ME2 model and DA:O model are best for the Bioware games unless they go for a 6-7 year development cycle.
