What. It's just a little bit more complex than your avarage mini game, but it's too simple for a trading card game as it is. Hope for good draws to RNG out random peasants with hero cards, then after you amassed decent cards, just stomp them. It's a chore at first and a silly time sink later. I had harder time beating the leader ability negate Nilfgaard deck commoners than the champion dude with his stupid monster horde deck.
The AI is predictable, bait them fodder cards to soak up the destroys, then drop some -/- on their massed units (add extra Golden dragon board wipe for lulz), and drawing extra cards with spies (and Decoy theirs back) is way toooooo powerful.
Oh yeah, the AI is pretty exploitable. If it wins the first round, it will always drop one card then pass the second. Even when playing against the North, who get a free card out of that deal. Baiting Scorch is also easy, just play a 6+ card and the AI will use it, rather than on your boosted 20 strength Milva.
Another major failure it has a multiplayer CCG is how blatantly pay to win it is. There is no difference in cost between a 1 strength Redanian Infantry and a 15 strength, Hero Geralt. Between a 1 strength, Muster Ghoul and a 6 strength, Muster Crone. So on and so forth. Rarer cards are quite simply better in all respects, rather than just slightly better or being side-grades.
