The game almost beg you to help Cerys, she want to investigate the scene, why would you not do it and go to Hjalmar to kill some people who may not even be involved? Thats was one of the weakest choice in the game, hell it doesnt even have any drawnback, "Cerys is the best ruler, end of the story".

So already dropped on place 4 and 10 on steam.   That means bethesda doesnt need to worry about anything, they can continue spending most of the money on the marketing and trying to invent one new lame joke for free online advertise. I guess they are still trying to invent that joke, because we havent heard anything offical from fo4 or e-scrolls. So general decline in gaming will continue.

 

 

 

Finished few days a go this game.Great game. And i was suprised that skygglgdsglsdg was so beautiful place even it was the third big place. Those another travelling other worlds/realms was probably most interesting setting and quest.

 

Purchased expansion pass, even though i could have waited for one month for probably 10-15% summer sale, but i am happily supporting the devs. And ofcourse from gog so there would be less middle hands taking money.   And ofcourse got free witcher 1 and free another witcher 2.

I'm after battle of Kaer Morhen and holy ****. What a fight that was. The whole quest was amazing and those cutscenes! You have no idea how impressed I am. But... dammit, I can't believe Vesemir was killed. My reaction was literally like Ciri's. Papa Vesemir....

With the medium armor perk and investing heavily in Signs you can almost have out of combat level stamina regeneration, stuff is crazy. Especially decked out with full 10% runes, Quen bubble soaked up everything but Imrelith phase 2.

 

Signs are really badass this time around.

totes, I was shocked by the twist at the end that the only reason the Wild Hunt wanted Ciri was because she's a low-key social justice tumblr blogger and Eredin crossed dimensions to enforce the iron will of the patriarchy. 

 

It made for a fascinating experience to watch Geralt's inner conflict with his feelings for his daughter and his own toxic hegemonic masculinity.

Finished up the Baron storyline, and I thought "Before going to Novigrad, lets try and see about clearing a few of those points of interests!"

 

My goal now is to clear every one of them that I can before going to see Triss lol. It's quite insane, I've almost gone 2 levels just by going to all these points.

 

And I should of paid more attention to the dismantling swords I find hint. Now I don't have to fret for all the rare mats I'd need, I just dismantle armor/swords that have decent mats, then everything else gets sold!

Temeria is an independent vassal state, the rest of the north is under Nilfgaard, Dijkstra is dead, Ciri is a witcher, Emhyr still rules. While I don't think this is the best world state, I do think it's probably the best for Geralt and his friends. So I'm happy with it. The best would probably be Dijkstra controlling the North, with Ciri controlling the south. But you have to sell Ciri to Emhyr and kill Roche, Thalar, and Ves for that. Which I don't think Geralt would do.

I also liked the part where there were no women helping Geralt through out the game, and only men could do everything. All the women were told to stay home and prepare a hot meal for him when he returned.

Its not possible to have Dijkstra as a ruler of the North and Ciri as empress, Nilfgaard needs to win for her to be empress.

And if she becomes empress, you didnt sold her to Emhyr, she mades the decision for herself, no one influence her.

If you Kiss Triss during velgelbud quest. Can you still romance Yen without getting the breakout at the end ? Because I think it fit Geralt. He has feeling for Triss ( Because at this point he haven't seen much of Yen anyway), but he just love Yen too much . Poor Triss. .. My geralt anyway.

Protected Roche, Thaler, and Ves, when Dijkstra tried to kill them, and to get Ciri as a witcher you have to have the snowball fight with her, take her to Skjall's grave, and trash Avallac'h's lab. With that ending, Roche is able to secure sovernty for Temeria under Nilfgaard, but Nilfgaard annex's Aedirn, Kaedwen, and Redania.

Yes you can, you only get locked out of both if you're stupid and tell both of them you love them.

If Triss doesn't leave for Kovir, then you're locked into your romance with her, but you can sleep with Yen when you first meet her, and it won't lock you out of the romance. After the fight with Djinn, if you tell Yen you still have feelings for her that will lock you out of the Triss romance.

Don't worry as long as you don't say love triss everything will be fine. BTW Yenn is the best choice!

I think the fact that neither Sebastian Stepien or the other dude from Witcher 2 had a hand in Witcher 3's story is why there is less politics and why, when there is, like with Radovid, it underwhelms. These writers are still great, but they seem to be less competent with handling the more heavier plot oriented things. Politics as a driving force within a plot requires that its writer has immense empathy and insight to all the individual character motivations, and it's a huge puzzle to solve.

I really do agree they dropped the ball with Radovid... Unfortunately I also think they took the easy route with other old-timers from Witcher 2 (all of them) except Triss, but I didn't expect to see Roche in the first place in this game, so it's okay... but I really think that whole aspect of the writing was below the standard I had gotten used to with CDPR.
