Something I can't find a clear answer to with google:  I haven't been following every scrap of information on this game, so if you'll indulge me, is there any word on a feature that would allow console players to determine the events of prior games?

CDPR has mentioned that they're working on something, but they're keeping it close to the chest for the time being.

Hm, about the same answer I got ten months ago, I figured there would have been new developments.

I guess they don't want to promise something they're not sure will be ready at launch. Seems like the smart move to me. Imagine the backlash if they promise importing in one form or another and it doesn't make the cut.

I get it, I'm just anxious about having the Roche/Iorveth path fixed.

I hear you. I imagine anyone that's a Witcher fan is anxious for one reason or another.

@ peoples talking about the music...Merchants of Novigrad (~8:11) is ear crack.

If they could port the previous two games to the new generation consoles, that would be an blessing. My computer never handled the second game well, I would love to play the entire series on an PS4.

Amen, though since they weren't willing to port the first game to last gen consoles I wouldn't hold my breath.

The team has been on The Witcher for well over ten years, they've said they're anxious to move on to Cyberpunk. I doubt they could even get the Aurora engine on consoles anyway. Unfortunately, the series will likely remain forever scattered on the console side.

Anybody else felt in love with her after watching the cgi?

I didn't have any preference before this trailer, but if she looks anything like this ingame bye bye Triss

There is a scene in the sword of destiny trailer where there's a short glimpse of Yennefer, she does look good.

So I was reading The Lesser Evil and I stumbled on the "Evil is evil" quote from the Killing Monsters trailer. I had to drop it real quick to watch the trailer again. Geralt of Rivia is a ****** badass.

So apparently there's going to be 16 pieces of free DLC for this game.

The ones revealed all look pretty minor and inconsequential, but still, free. And it's pretty cool to know that beard customization is going to be a thing.

So basically eight straight weeks of free content right after launch.

Industry, y u no adopt CDPR strategies?

I want to comment about the marketing comments that have a vibe of an accusation.

Is this a marketing move? Of course it is.

So what?

That's the thing I don't get. When did "marketing" become an inherently evil thing? People have come to be repulsed for whatever reason when they read that word, to the point that it doesn't matter if an announcement is empty of content or not. This isn't a case of an empty announcement. CDPR are stating that they will, for free, work on additional content after they finish working on the main game. This is a "marketing" (ooooh no!) declaration meant to draw attention, obviously, but does that fact make it in any way less consumer friendly than it is? Of course not. It's as if the posts of criticism somehow demand that consumer-friendly behavior take the form of a very modest rhetoric; as if promoting yourself while being pro-consumer is somehow... contrary to being pro-consumer? I don't get it.

I don't think that we need to lose our **** in CDPR's favor, either. So far we don't know what the DLC entail - and considering the rate they plan on releasing them, it's safe to assume they won't be anything major. Probably skin-deep changes. An aesthetic addition here or there, maybe a quest or some equipment.

But I feel some people who understand this somehow take it to mean this whole "stunt" is altogether pointless, just because it's not game-altering content.

Everything has to be extreme. Black or white. There's no scale. CDPR should either release amazing DLC, or otherwise just bland and pointless content that is solely created to garner more attention to themselves like virtue whores.

I say No. Let's stay a bit level-headed. Will these DLC packages be stunning? Not likely. Will they be terrible? Not likely. Are they a very friendly gesture towards their consumers? Yes. Is CDPR using this as part of their marketing? Yes. Does this being a marketing act make it any less friendly towards the gamer or make the content any less real once it comes out? No.

Each piece of free dlc seems like a nice gesture yes but it will in truth lock away 1 portion of the game with each dlc installed until you see an ingame message that says open up your fat wallet and pay CD Projekt 500$ to continue to play with full content.

Scary close to the 3 big publishers practices there

16 Free DLC.. well that's something I don't get to read often enough. Will be cool to see exactly what every DLC will be but cosmetic DLC can never hurt. More beard options for everyone!

So judging by the shaving cream all over his face, the DLC lets you make Geralt shave? Blasphemy.

I wouldn't be too quick to say all of it will be inconsequential. Probably a mix of equipment, alternate skins for NPCs and short quests. Still stuff most companies would charge for. And if the quests are on the same level as Troll Trouble or the EE content for TW2, you'll hear no complaints from me.

Shaving Geralt when he can finally have a beard is heresy!

I've finally managed to finish W2.

I still like W1 more.
