The Baron has better characterization than Emhyr, Radovid and Eredin.
Shame that the game called the Witcher: Wild Hunt has so little Wild Hunt in it, heh.

The whole game is literally a big wild hunt.
Baron: I need your aid
Me: YESS YESS! WHATEVER YOU FCUKING WANT!
I've been reading up on this thread now and holy **** at that Costin Razvan meltdown, buahahahaha. Worthy of NeoGaf, truly. Anyhow, to those curious...
So finished the Baron's stuff and it was great.
Done in Velen now.
Witcher's contracts and little side bits don't really interest me THAT much.
Off to Novigrad.
In other news, The Witcher 3 has achieved 94% on Metacritic, which makes it the second-highest score an RPG has ever achieved, tied with Skyrim, Oblivion, Mass Effect 2 and Diablo, behind only Baldur's Gate 2 with 95%.
However, it does have the highest userscore of all of those; once again with only BG2 beating it.
So...once again, congratulations CDPR, on putting out such a stellar financial and critical success.
I think it depends on the game save. The Scoia'tael I met never said these words, just "Have you heard the latest rumours about Iorveth?" So I think everything is open. Even the line with the death by arrows is just a hearsay.
He must be in an expansion!I remember from very early interviews, the writers mentioning Iorveth saying that he is a "different man" now. So I guess they cut him out of the final game for some reason
He's mentioned in the files. So I'm guessing he's still alive.
Talk to the Menge while Triss had a date with the torturer.
First time I didn't initiate violence there, she didn't look too bad at the end. A few bruises on the face, and her left hand was covered in blood, but she maintained her mind.
Because she flipped at me because I asked about the treasure. Like what the hell.
I'm feeling the need to evolve to Bachelor status this playthrough. Or might just ignore the romances altogether.
Who needs a relationship when you can be a professional Monster slayer moonlighting as the World's best Gwent player!
So I'm in Novigrad looking for the damned brothel and I see this merchant who only sells bottles but buys your stuff at like 4x its value.
What a lad.

Her hand was covered in blood because they'd pulled off all of her finger nails.

I beat Jenny of the woods two levels below her on death march without getting hit once, I beat the final boss on deathmarch in tier 2 bear armor with the swords Crach gives because I didn't want to just break them down after his hour long rant about how they were forged in wherever. I also did the entire fight as well as the fight before that with no health potions because I'd forgotten to brew them.
Poor Crach, he was so proud of those swords. I didn't have the heart to tell him the **** sword I picked up off a dead bandit five minutes ago was better than it.

Work project is DONE.
Now I can finally get around to playing TW3 again.
Shame that the game called the Witcher: Wild Hunt has so little Wild Hunt in it, heh.
The Hunt is present in the second half the game. But the minumum they could have done is make Eredin something else than an enormously generic evil dude, complete with being an usurper who poisoned the old king. TW3 has loads of great heroic and grey characters. But on the villain side? Much weaker IMO. The Crones aren't bad I guess, but the rest doesn't even begin to compare to Letho.
In other news, I managed to find the diagram of a Scoia'tel sword, and it seems the runes I put on it are visually quite different from the usual ones. They are much more leaflike, and vibrant green to boot. Looks really cool.
The fight with the Crones and Imlerith were also pretty damn good. The latter was a snoozefest for me... until he hit 1/3 HP, activated his phase 2 teleport spam and crushed poor Geralt in two hits. Guess his slow speed in phase 1 is designed to cause the player to be caught off guard. Well, mission accomplished.

They really should have played up Eredin's motivations a lot more. I mean, he's basically extremely paranoid about the White Frost and trying to save his people from it, more or less...it could have made for a very interesting antagonist, but instead he had...what, 13 lines overall? 90% of them villainous one-liners?

*not saying anything yet*
No, they fought a 1v1 fight in the woods, you control the one who you choose to support.
for Roche to capture Iorveth you need to wallop him and help Roche when the fight Blue Stipe vs Scoia'tel start.
The Bloody Baron is honestly just one of the most well written characters I've encountered in a game for years, tbh
Spoiler
That was some seriously questionable writing to be honest. I feel like CDPR just felt like they needed to have a hard choice because The Witcher has become known for that, but forgot their hard choices had sound reasoning behind them.
HA!
HA!
With all this conflicting information about his status, this could easily be set-up for a role in the expansions.
In fact, I'm fairly confident about that now.
