There are some issues in the last pic, namely the lighting. But watching the uncompressed version put my mind mostly at ease. It looks a hell of a lot better. So, who do you guys want the other playable character to be? After some thought, I don't think Ciri makes the most sense. She's a divisive character as even the lead writer admitted she's a bit of a power fantasy. I'd love to play as Vesemir, Yen or another mage type character. Playing a mage in the Witcher universe could be cool. I always liked Sapkowski's take on magic, and let's face it, mages put Witchers to shame when it comes to lethality. CDPR also does a great job with magic effects.

I'd like to play as Yennefer, and I would've liked for that section of the game to be the intro and play out like the "The Trail" opening cinematic. We play as Yennefer on the run until she puts some distance between herself and that battle,  we see Geralt picking up the trail and we start controlling Geralt from there, searching for clues. Maybe the intro of the game is what we see at the end of the cinematic. Who knows. I'm sure it'll be great, regardless.

It's hard to tell who the secondary character is, could be Lambert or Eskel. Possibly even Hjalmar (Crach an Craite's son) as we see a glimpse of him facing off against Eredin.

I hope we play as a female character. I want to experience the world through their eyes for once.

A mage would be even more awesome. Though I wonder how the combat would play out then.

I second wanting to play as Yennefer. Or Triss.

Playing as a proper sorceress would be pretty cool, a neat change of pace.

I wonder if we can go into their inventories and take all their clothes off.

Switching spells might be tricky, though. I was never very good at switching signs quickly in TW2 either.

Oh, I was terrible at it.  :P

Witcher signs are apparently laughable by most sorcerers' standards, rudimentary stuff, commanding stuff a bit more powerful, even if only for a brief segment, could be pretty cool.

Delayed to May 19th

I guess there's some truth to the rumours concerning development problems. Ah well... bollocks.

Witcher 3 has been delayed to May 19th 2015 :(

Dear Gamers,

Ever since we started working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we knew it would be an ambitious game. We wanted, and still aim, to give you an incredible experience, an epic adventure in a vast, completely open fantasy universe.

The sheer size and complexity of The Witcher, key features of the title, have had a decisive impact on production. Now, nearing the end of our work, we see many details that need to be corrected. When we release the most important game in our studio’s history, we must be absolutely sure that we did everything we could to limit any bugs to a level that will allow you to enjoy the game thoroughly.

With this in mind, we took another look at current workloads and what they mean for the team. Even though everyone is working at full speed, we concluded that we need another 12 weeks, so we are shifting the release date of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to May 19th, 2015.

We owe you an apology. We set the release date too hastily. It’s a hard lesson, one to take to heart for the future. We know what we want to do to make Wild Hunt one of the best RPGs you will ever play. And we continue to work hard to achieve just that. So, we apologize and ask for your trust.

Thank you for the all support you show us on a daily basis. We truly do appreciate it. It has fueled us in our passion since the start and will continue to do so.

If they feel they need the time than that's cool with me. I can wait

Playable characters besides Geralt? What I would give to do so with Letho. Nothing more fancier than looking like a 2 meter bulk of a guy who is lightning fast.

Gonna echo on this.

Of course soon as I post my topic about the delay. I find this discussion topic already up. Oh well let the mod merge it in or delete it.

Well that's rather disappointing, but I guess a delayed game is better than a buggy one.

Aww, another delay? :( That's disappointing. Though considering the bugs and stability issues that seem to plague DA:I (at least on PC) I can hardly fault CDPR for taking the necessary time to polish things. Kudos to them.

Delay's for story driven action RPG's are never good. Case in point..... Mass Effect 3.

I think Witcher 3 might be a bust.

Not that much of a convincing argument. I could easily say that DAI got delayed twice and it turned out great.

Whatever the case, a delay doesn't say much about the final outcome.

Same! If it turns out to be him, it'd be nice if the dialogue allowed for him to play the oaf to manipulate others like he did in Witcher 2.

I'm okay with the delay as well. Still don't have enough cash for W3-worthy computer
And taking the trend of releasing broken games at release into account, I think it's better to be safe than sorry.

ME3's story was doomed from the start since it had to follow the atrocious ME2 that not only didn't advance the plot but severely butchered the franchise(with derp like space terminator).

And contrary to fanboy tears, ME3 is the best game in the trilogy in terms of gameplay.

Does Yennefer's voice actress sound a lot like Irileth from Skyrim, with the pitch slightly higher, or is it just me?

I... am not following that line of reasoning. Delay = more time to work out the kinks, a.k.a. bugs and glitches. The story should be all done by now. So delay = less bugs = greater game! Hooray!  :D

I would have accepted PC version delayed more if it had given us proper controls.

Looks like this time around CDP really wants to avoid having to release an Enhanced Edition. Well, I´ll get it around my birthday.

I guess the other character we can play as will be Ciri. I hope it´s her or another witcher, because the moments in 2 with other characters who only knew swing and parry were jarring when compared to Geralt´s.

Had it been Ubisoft then I wouldn't have trusted the delay one bit.

However, CD Projekt is not Ubisoft. When they think they need more time to deliver us a beter experience then I trust them.

So it seems the NeoGaf poster was correct after all. They do have huge issues in terms of developing the game.

So much for the fanboys arguing: Yeah it's going to be just fine! Apparently CDPR felt differently.
