Damn. Don't underestimate the Scoia'tael deck.
Or rather, don't underestimate Dandelion.
Dandelion is a great card, but I find that the Scoia'tael deck is a bit too weak because it's hard to amass the required number of cards that trigger that cascade effect (e.g. pulling 5 elven skirmishers at once). Though I still have not even finished Act I, apparently. So far I prefer Northern Kingdoms to Niilfgard, but only because I don't have enough spies in my Niilgard deck.

I always play my first game against someone with my Northern Kingdoms deck, and if that fails I switch to Scoia'tael. If that fails, Nilfguard. My monsters deck isn't good enough for me to use.

Monsters is a deadzone for me so far, and enemies that use monsters have too many first row melee cards that make them vulnerable to a frost card played at the right time. Nilfgaard has one key with it, and that's more cards that allow you to pull from your discard pile vs. the northern kingdoms deck. With the appropriate use of decoy and spy cards, you can easily hit 14 cards in your deck on the first hand, willingly lose, and then obliterate the other side with two 50-70+ rounds.
With Scoia'tael you can abuse medic cards to a hilarious degree.
And the Monsters deck can get pretty ridiculous with all it's muster cards, as long as you use the "use any weather card in your deck" Eredin as your leader card so you're not utterly screwed by one Biting Frost.

I think the Scoita'tel deck vs. the Nilfgaard deck is similar on this point, but so far I find the overall Scoia'tel cards to be too weak to really matter when you're pulling from the discard pile.

I love spy cards. They're my favorite cards to use just to expand the amount of cards I have available. Even better, I love when the opponent decoys the spy card I used and uses it against me because then it goes to my discard pile and I can reuse it, or I can decoy it and use it again straight away.

Whenever I and the other player have decoy and spy cards, the first match is this hilarious 6 round back and forth where we each just spam spy cards. Though with a medic card there's sometimes a tactical advantage to allowing a spy on the field.

That's why you carry two. ![]()

Basically. hahaha
I love when I go into the final round and I've got 11+ cards available. Especially if the opponent does too. Makes for an interesting final round where we go all out.
Also, I HATE HATE HATE ENEMY SCORCH CARDS.
But sometimes Scorch can work in your favor.

I always play around scorch cards by avoiding doubling up on any one number, and playing conservatively at first to match #s for #s (e.g. if an enemy plays a 6, i'll play a 6).
So meeting the bard Dandelion's all crazy about was fun. Loved the sequence.
That woman from White Orchard was there going crazy at me but it didn't really amount to much.
Loved this line "Cultural Capital of the world? The fcuck it is!" - Love the Witcher's top-notch dialogue like always.
Now I'm going to save Dandelion.
Yay.
Also, I HATE HATE HATE ENEMY SCORCH CARDS.
Sometimes you can get an opponent to waste their scorch cards, if you think they might have one. Sometimes if you start out with low cards on a round you intend to win they'll throw out a Scorch on a 5 or 6 value card instead of on the 9 or 10 you haven't deployed yet. Also hero cards that have the ability to replay a card from your discard pile are great for that too. You can immediately redeploy a card they scorched or get them to burn one of your 10 cards on a round you intend to throw, only to reuse it later..

That moment was something I'd expect from Bioware but not CDPR. It was very forced and obviously there just for the sake of a "hard choice". It's like they remembered "Oh yeah, we had hard choices in TW2, and people liked them. We have to have them in TW3." but forgot that the hard choices in TW2 were incredibly grey and all had a lot of pros and cons, and didn't just rely on CURSE YOUR SUDDEN BUT INEVITABLE BETRAYAL! Of course all the choices in the witcher 2 are basically moot in TW3. Ignoring that, even after having completed the witcher 2 five or six times before the witcher 3, I still wasn't sure which choices were "right" or which choices would be the best.
At any rate, I think you share this gripe with a great many people.
I just found Triss' rose of remembrance..

I was really dissapointed with Dijkstra in the end.
He was awesome throughout the entire game despite beign a d*ck at times. He even made me laugh hard during the Triss goodbye scene when he told the story of how he tried to seduce Phillipa.
And then they pull that on him in the end :S

So much potential and it all ended with a letdown. A shame :/

Borch looks fantastic!
Borch looks fantastic!
Tea and Vea are beautiful as well:P
Would have been nice to call upon him for help against the frosty elves.
Also agree with the "Wtf CDPR?" sentiment in regards to how the whole Dijkstra situation played out.
There's so much going at during The Witcher 3 that it's almost impossible to close everything up in exquisite detail, they could have made an entire game about how the 3rd Nilfgaard-Nordling War would be resolved. I'm not surprised they had to water some things down when Ciri, the Wild Hunt and the White Frost enter the picture, and still somehow make all of this fit in a 50-100 hour experience.

Dragged? LOL
Sorry but I don't see any problem - what you're suggestion would be a problem.
The game is called The Witcher. It's not called The War or something nor you're playing space jesus.
