She already had a revealing outfit in Witcher 1.

And I'm pretty sure her not wanting to wear low cut tops was more of a psychological thing and connected to trauma after the battle, than actual, incurable scars. 

 

Vilgefortz almost grew his eye back in like a year. Not being able to remove simple scars in 10 years, with all the magical help and resources? Not buying it.

And we know that's canon in the games too, Philippa is starting to do it and has magical eyesight in the meantime.

 

By comparison, healing burn scars is a walk in the park.

I think the only time they got her outfit right was when she wore her TW1 noble dress and the TW2 outfit.

 

I really have no idea why devs are so inconsistent about this. My only guess is that they probably made her get over it in those five years between the saga and TW1, which well.... still sounds rather inconsistent to me.

Wasn't in it implied in the books that Eredin overdosed Auberon, the Aen Elle king by accident? In TW3 they actually made it look like it was on purpose.

In the books it seemed that it was an accident but also the elves were all shown to be all liars and pretty bad people, keeping slaves and it was heavily implied the slaves were beaten. Plus that giant heap of human bones...

 

So was it an accident? Maybe. I can also see a scenario where Eredin just wanted to frame Ciri for the murder so they would have a reason to chain her up for the lab.

I think it should be clear by now their writers are more beholden to the lore than their artists. Triss' TW2 outfit is still canon to me. It's perfect, even if I like the new ones too. But for the love of god, these potbelly plate armors for Geralt should burn in hell.

I really hope one of the DLC's is an import of all the W2 armor models.  Even the worst looking W2 armor is 10x better than 60% of the armor in W3.

Oh, dear sweet baby Jesus, yes. They are abominable. I had that "Warrior's armour" for like.. 27 hours to avoid it.

I found it funny at first but there is so much armor like that. 

They reused the same base asset, even for cloth armors, so his belly still bulges out. We begged on bent knees at the RED site to let us import TW2 armors, but no go. I suspect since Geralt's character model is so different now the TW2 armors won't mesh, and they can't do a simple re-skin.

Anyone playing on the Xbone?

So far, I have been able to download the free DLC (that I have chosen to download), without any hassle. However, this evening I tried to download the Wolf School Gear scavenger hunt, and was asked for a credit card. It still reads $0.00 for payment, but generally I don't like putting my CC in, unless I truly am purchasing something. Since it has never asked for it before, I am a tad confused. Has this happened to any of you who play (and downloaded the latest free DLC), on the Xbone?

All DLC is free. You shouldn't have to put in any info. I swear, despite partnering with MS, Xbone got the shaft here. Over 70 reviews on PS4, and 11 with Xbone. Someone please explain that one to me.

Exactly. That is what was so stange about this evening. Until tonight, I had successfully downloaded and installed three of the other free DLC's, without having to give Xbone my CC info. That is what I am confused about. I found online some othe past games, that ran in to this problem ( Forza, as an example), and it looked like the game developers got it cleared up with MS. I have posted this on CDPR's official forum, in the Xbox support section. Will see what happens.

Preparing to battle the Wild Hunt. I've talked with all the companions except Triss and Yennefer. Is it possible at all to talk to them or? I can't find them in the castle, and going inside starts the quest.

Advantages of the Lodge, they also planned to do something about Ciri's scar before she decided she had had enough of the world after the rivian progrom.

BTW, every time it downloads a DLC texts goes back to polish.
