When exactly do you get to Kaer Morhen? I want to get there so I can finally start crafting the Wolven School gear. I'm doing the main Skellige questline right now, just got to the part where you control Ciri again.

I'd say that you're fairly close.

Battle of Kaer Morhen is by far in my top 5 battles in a video game and can rival other mediums for me. It's just amazing and I wished that was the final. Only thing I wished was

All I can say is thank goodness for the storage chest. There would be no way I could have created the Griffin,Feline,Ursine and Wolve School Armors and Swords with the limited storage space from before. I still gotta create the Mastercraft version of each. For now they are in Superior Version.

Proof? Because no one has mentioned this and I had a friend who didn't have Letho or Keira with him and that didn't help him.

Really hope CDPR gets NG+ out soon. I've had an itch to play this game again, but I don't really have anything to do on my current save anymore. Wanna use all that juicy endgame loot on something.

Have they fixed the achievement bug? Because I stopped laying when the achievement bug from 0.7 showed its nasty head.

Yep, at least the Galaxy achievements work again with 1.08. (not sure about Steam though.)

So let me get this straight. Not once has this ever been said anywhere, no where on youtube is this shown. I'm sorry but I smell someone enabling that content through the console(which like certain content was finished, but never was enable in-game) like the pancake scene with Yen or a patch re-enabled this because at launch that was not enabled.

As I didn't record the screens it's not impossible but I doubt it. When someone "unlocked' the scene in kaer Morhen it was all over Reddit and the official forum. These screens were posted in a small thread in the CDP forum and if I remember correctly the person who posted them wrote that it happens if Keira and Letho are not there and you don't help Lambert. That there are no youtube videos about it, isnt't that surprising as the Kaer Morhen battle happens pretty late in the game and not many people will not help Letho, kill Keira or sent her to Radovid and then refuse to help Lambert in Kaer Morhen (you have to wait a long time with not helping him. He is really tough)

Its not really redkit, its modkit. It can tweak stuff that is ingame, but it cannot add to the game.

And this makes me more nervous - https://twitter.com/...182348260470784

They're super unequivocal. There's no redkit.

This will be like NG+ where they are said there's probably not going to be 1, yet .. I think it's out now on Xbox.

I think we'll get the Redkit when all the expansions are out.

Well, I am not really sure what kind of mod I'd make for TW3. It would be nice if people could make new quests and such but the main game is already very extensive and there are DLCs planned, so I am ok with it as it is. If CDPR want to backpedal though and decide that they want to release a full redkit after all, they'd better announce it soon because I see a major sh*tstorm heading their way.

In other news, I just finished the game yesterday after 135 hours and my final verdict is that it is the best executed RPG since Gothic 2 IMO. It's not necessarily my favorite since - despite it's obvious flaws - the Mass Effect games still win this one for the simple fact that they are scifi. Sorry but I'm whimsical like that :).

But in terms of design decisions and implementation, TW3 takes the cake.

I really enjoyed the general gameplay. The combat is really fun and gives a lot of options. Granted, the character development isn't really very impressive, as it mostly improves percentage values and only towards the very end it will truly give you new options but the general combat is so much fun for me that I don't really care that much. The witcher senses are also a bit overused and their use always amounts to the same but that only got apparent if you do a lot of monster contracts in a row.

The main story, while linear and in places a bit predictable, is still very nice IMO. I love all the characters, some because I know them from previous games but there are also some great new additions to the cast, first and foremost Yennifer of course. - Spoiler warning - I read here and eleswhere that people didn't like at all how the wild hunt was handled. To that I can only say that I didn't read the books, so if there is any squandered potential there, I didn't realize it Personally, I found the whole world traveling/invasion/apocalypse story intriguing and it followed very well on some clues from the previous games. Most importantly, it gave almost all the characters very relatable, if conflicted, motivations for their actions. The wild hunt was still evil from our perspective and there was no ambivalence that we needed to stop them but still, their actions made sense from their perspective and I could understand without having to sympathies or feeling bad about fighting them. IMO, that is what makes a good antagonist in a game. I am saying in a game because in a movie or book, the audience can change their opinion on the protagonist and the antagonist without too much issue but in a game, where we don't only follow the protagonist but act on their behalf, I think there is a problem if these actions are not vaidated in the end (*cough* Reapers *cough*). So yes, I did like the story, including the wild hunt and the fact that it even had a hint of a scifi influence was only for the better as far as I am concerned (especially loved traveling the alien worlds in Avalach's quest). If I am disappointed by anything, it was the very end. I got the ending where Ciri survives and travels the witcher's path. But how did she survive? And did she actually succeed in defeating the white frost? What exacly happened there? In light of the fact that this game was supposed to end this storyline, one more scene there would have been nice.

The one thing that really makes TW3 so remarkable IMO is the world. When I first heard that CDPR wanted to make a world as big as Skyrim's, it made me extremely skeptical. In my mind, I saw lot's of shallow content, like we have seen them in countless Bethesda and Ubisoft games and BioWare demonstrated quite recently that building a story focused game in a large (semi-)open environment is not at all easy and let's face it, CDPR had no experience with this whatsoever. Fortunately, the Witcher 3 devs pulled it off masterfully. The distribution of content in the world, the level of detail that was put into all of it and the sheer amount of it is marvelous.

I saw some people complain that pacing is an issue but for me it wasn't at all. I just roleplayed that getting from Novigrad to Skelliger and back is a huge deal for Gerald (i.e. a journey of several days, if not weeks). THerefore, I had an excuse to do a lot of side content while searching for Ciri. Granted, I spent 2/3 of my game time in Act 1 but I didn't care. The search was a big deal and then, afterwords, things really pick up and you get the full story load roght up until the grand finale. I thought this worked really well.

If I had to come up with complaints, I'd have two. The first is that exploration works much better with the question marks off, so I think they should be off by default ( didn't even realize that I could turn them off until fairly late in the game). But no big deal there, after all ,the option to turn them off exists. Once you d turn them off, Witcher 3 is the first game in years that really encourages exploration. You know why? Because there are no collectibles. When you find something in the world, it is useful on its own. I do not need to find 50 of x to make it useful. Collectibles do not encourage exploration, they encourage lawn mowing the map. Fortunately, TW3 avoids this problem and allows us to start and stop excursions into the countryside whenever we want because whatever we find, we do not need yet another piece to even use it. And without the question marks, we a re encourage to look at the world, instead of the mini map, which makes the experience of finding things much more gratifying.

My second complaint is that, since I did so much side content, I was fairly oerleveld for the entire story from Kaer Morhen onwards. I think it would have been a good idea to keep the enemies at a static level for the open world and the side quests but to level them (at least a little) with Geralt for the later main quest.

But all in all, I loved this game. I think you can see that there is a very well thought out design philosophy behind it and that it is made by a developer, who could afford to break industry standards and had the sense to do so in all the right places but only in the right places.

Looking forward to NG+, although I'll probably wait for the expansions to come out before I had back into it.

The voice actor of the English version of Geralt would make a great Volus. So breathy and stilted.

Just finish up my 2nd playthrough outside of doing the final mission.  Just got some minor quests still to do. I really have no interest in completing them though.
