Considering the fact that my DM run has still not been finished because CDP keeps breaking their game with the xp bug, the quest bugs, the gamebreaking bugs and then the achievements being broken TWICE.This is Bethesda level and it's a fricken joke.

Really, so if you load up the game right now, your finishers from the finisher dlc will work? Because that's also broken now.

Am unable to test right now as I'm playing GTAV, but I'll try to test it this week. However, if the Finisher DLC includes cutting their legs off, then yes, it is working for me, though I haven't played since last week Monday, don't know if anything changed since.

Oh right, so details on how my playthrough ended up-

Ciri survived ending the White Frost, but Emhyr wasn't told that. She never met him in my playthrough so he believed that she sacrificed herself even though she didn't.

 

Geralt and Yennefer decided to settle down and live a more relaxed life away from politics and drama, happily ever after.

 

Ciri was gifted a very finely crafted sword by Geralt and went out into the world as an ashen haired witcheress.

 

Cerys led Skellige into a new, healthier future with less aggression but more productive action and peace.

 

Lambert is out on his own travels beside Keira Metz.

 

The Baron went to the Blue Mountains with his wife to hopefully find a way to save her sanity.

 

There's still a Crone out on the loose.

 

Emhyr went on to conquer everything he wanted to, but spared Temeria and left it on its own, free for its own ruling thanks to the actions of Vernon Roche, Ves, Thaler, and Geralt(w assist from Phillipa).

 

And of course, everyone else is somewhere, doing their own thing. I imagine Triss still wants to bang Geralt some more.

 

So now there's NG+(which if I start, won't be any time soon) and the following two big DLCs.

 

Can anyone who's started NG+ explain to me how TW3's version works? How's enemy difficulty? What carries over and what doesn't?

I just had a glance at NG+ for a couple of minutes (will also wait till DLCs are out. Looks like all your items and gold carry over, except for quest items, trophies and books.

You also loose all your Quent cards and all diagrams (so if you want a cool sword or something in NG+ before you find the diagram again, I recommend you craft it before making your import save). It doesn't matter if you stuff is in your inventory or the storage chest, both are treated the same.

I read on some forums that level requirements for certain items increase but all my mastercrafted witcher gear still has lvl 34 requirements for me, just like on the first playthrough.

As for leveling and difficulty, I guess it depends on which level you start with. Enemies at the very start of the game are about lvl 31 and I guess it'll increase from there. I read that if you finish the first playtthrough below lvl 30, you will be bumped up. For me, I was lvl 34, started on Death March difficulty and the first fight against the gouls with Vesemir was a joke. But I guess it may become more challenging as you progress and enemies level up as well.

I also noticed that I get about double the experience points for everything as last time. Not sure if that's because of NG+ or because of the higher difficulty.

 

BTW: LPPrince you had almost the exact same story as I did.

So...am I the only person who got this game on Day 1 and still hasn't finished it?

 

Not because I took a long break or because I dislike it - I play it at least 3 or 4 times a week and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but DANG this is a huge game. (I've probably also wasted a fair amount of time playing Gwent.)

People have a feeling NG+ will get very hard near the end since while you do your lvl up, your skills will not change, and people who started DM reported a big difficulty spike on White Orchid.

White Orchard griffin apparently takes up to 80% off your vitality with a single hit.

 

Folks complained the vanilla game was 'too easy'--and while I don't really agree with that, CDPR has nonetheless responded with NG+.

And your point being? It's still wise to play all three games (or at least TW2) as you'll have a better understanding of the world, characters and past events. Reading the books is a bonus but will amp up enjoyment even more (plus you'll see how much CDP screwed up with the Eredin and the hunt and a few other characters in all three games)

What's wrong with Vesemir in NG+? I haven't noticed any problems.
