30 min of sweet as gameplay? Holy biscuits, Imma gonna wet my breaches.

Eh, depends. If it's just running again like at E3 then :(

I was not impressed with the E3 demo at all. Trailer was good though(but way too spoiley imo)

Honestly, everything was foreshadowed in the previous two games.

It's like considering the Reaper attack in the ME3 trailer as a spoiler.

Charles Dance was in the trailer. Therefore based trailer.

TW3 seems a bit too much like TW2 though, I'd expected more of a graphics leap tbh. It's the next generation and all these guys have to show for it is some stubble. The trail thing is pretty cool though I guess.

My issue is them showing the king of the hunt. That was something I did not want to see at all until I played the game and I thought CDP would keep his look in TW3 a secret considering how mysterious his character is.

But the Witcher 2 already spoils that by far.

Are you really talking about that flashback "cutscene" something that could very well be changed as we saw with how Yen looks in TW3? Heck his armor already looks vastly different. This is something I did not want to see and something CDP should have never shown. The first time seeing the king now in the game will have less impact because you will now know what he looks like in the game.

His look won't determine his impact, the actions of the individual will influence how "impactful" his role in the game is.

I want an interactive sex scene where I can pre-****** and make Geralt run away crying xD

I said his first appearance, not his role. His first appearance is for me ruined by showing his look. It's not hard to understand that for someone who is a mysterious character whose look has never been the same wanted this aspect to not be shown in a trailer.

I kinda see where House is coming from. They could have shown other members of the Wild Hunt, but not the king himself. Someone mentioned they expected a bigger graphics jump...holy moses what do you want? The parts in the trailer where Geralt is on the ship with Triss and Yen or when he's walking around in the brothel are some of the best graphics I've ever seen.

Agreed. TW3 graphics are breathtaking. Heck  Geralt himself is outstanding, never have I seen such a beautiful beard in a game. Even Triss has a graphic update, not as drastic as the others(the witchers from TW look outstanding in the new engine), but it is noticeable.

I agree the graphical leap is not that big, but thats only because the graphics in TW2 were so good, almost ahead of their time.

I'm thinking about reading the books. Has anyone here ever read them? They any good?

Have the devs mentioned any way to determine decision points from previous games? If they're doing such a thing at all, anyway. I'm playing on console, so a direct import wouldn't be an option.

It was confirmed you can import decisions like you did in TW2. They said it will be no problem for PC, but they are still figuring out how to do it on consoles.

I really hope they pick an option that doesn't necessitate the same console brand. I played TW2 on an Xbox 360 but got a PS4 this generation. In this case, I guess I hope they take a page from Bioware's book (Not necessarily a website, but something besides a direct import, like an checklist in the game)

DO note that by reading the books you will find out who Emyr really was, why Emyr does not want Geralt harmed by Empire personal, the king of the hunts real name and the race of the wild hunt and hints towards the prophecy about the hunt and Ciri. It's good info that will probably help you enjoy TW3 though.

I sort of cheated and looked all that up. Honestly, it looks like TW3 is a continuation of the books' story far more than the two preceding games were.

I suspect it has to do with the fact that the leap between TW1 and TW2 was so great (and being visually gorgeous as well) people expected a similar treatment for TW3.

I think another reason the change is not as big is because they are using REDengine 3 which is just a big update of Redengine, just more powerful, where the first game was using a very old and outdated third party engine.
